Gogoro also provides road-side scooter rental in Taiwan. With membership, you just find a scooter near your location using their app, ride it, and park it when you are done. Very convenient.
Loved the balance approach of hearing about the losers AND the winners. An update on Miso Robotics would be great. Especially now that California is mandating $20 an hour for fast food workers. Will that accelerate some of Miso's customers?
I believe that they will persevere and humbly endure their circumstance. I think it’s a wonderful idea. Also like you guys were saying in Europe. Countries spots down by the beaches. Maybe integrate them with Airbnb! Just saying.
All the parts are slowly coming together, but they need more $$$. Had they put most of their cash reserves in Bitcoin, they'd probably have enough to start full scale manufacturing. Might still be a smart thing to do until they get more $$$.
it would be great in the NYC area- maybe we would have less e-bike fires, less buildings going up in flames. The company should reach out the the nyc fire & building departments.
The USPS is a jobs program semi run by the govt. They have to appease all kinds if congressional districts, etc. This is why they have spread there EV money across the table. The usual stupid inefficiency of a politically connected company. Probably the biggest advantage (and somewhat a disadvantage) of Tesla is that Tesla's CEO has alienated both political parties in one way or another. Neither party has very much influence if any. One has to almost wonder if that is intentional and not just happenstance.
I think Canoo will survive or get acquired by a legacy OEM for their IP. Canoo vehicles have a modular platform, steer by wire, brake by wire, and high space-utilization/space-efficiency, and a fairly responsive powertrain. Canoo vehicles are also designed to be easy to drive, with additional viewing windows and cameras for better situational awareness around the vehicle. However, I don't know if these vehicles are designed for mass manufacture, use highly automated assembly processes, or permit over the air software upgrades. Canoo seems to be mostly hand assembling their vehicles right now. The range of Canoo vehicles is also uninspiring at around 200 miles per full charge (probably less in real world driving). Canoo vehicles also have CCS charging ports, limiting on road charging availability to third party public charging stations like Electrify America, Charge point, and EVgo, which are notoriously unreliable. Canoo has yet to adopt the NACS charging standard or make arrangements with Tesla for Supercharger access. In addition, while space efficient, Canoo vehicles don't appear to be energy efficient with a 79 KWH battery size, only 200 miles of range, and 0-60 acceleration of 9 seconds (for their LDV 190). In summary I hope they get acquired by Ford or Rivian and remade from a startup prototype shop into a profitable mass manufacturer with more refined and efficient vehicles.
Nope. The equipment they bought from Arrival is still unused. You'll see no assembly line production from Canoo this year. If the company survives your best hope is 500 hand built vehicles and a massive dilution.
I heard they proudly said they got the equipment from arrival at only 80% of the price. That seems like a very bad deal for equipment being sold off like that…makes one question Canoos financial competence
The analysis goes wider and deeper for patreons and there are solid reasons why none of these seem to be close to the earlier Tesla. It's surely biased by opinions and impressions so no financial advice. Actually, anyone who advises about anything more than how things work presenting as financial advice is not to be trusted PS: I've had both gains and losses; they are mostly right but not always and not indicative of future tendencies. We are all human after all
@@Derpy1969 Hmm. Extortion: Illegal use of one's official position or powers to obtain property, funds, or patronage. Exactly what I thought it meant. History will tell you that companies that have "lost funds" and "lost records" also have an issue with that money disappearing through corruption or extortion - but of course, that will only be discovered if there is an intense investigation by some legal arm. FBI maybe? We'll see.
I happened to see your video. I am quite interested in all the companies in your headlines. As a happy Fisker Owner, I do not find your sense of humor worth listening to. It is a shame, as I was anxious to see what was beyond the first 5 minutes. I have found that social media can be just as destructive as it often serves a useful purpose. I guess I am not interested in listening to a bunch of people talk about things they really don't know much about. See how social media can sometimes be destructive!
If you want to succeed in the EV car business, then make a cheap Electric car. Even Elon/Tesla know that - Model 2. The whole idea of electric cars is that they should be way cheaper because they are so simple to make: a battery connected to a switch, connected to a simple electric engine. No 500 parts, hoses, liquids, pumps, radiators, etc. China will win here?
@@henryTech720 Yes, Tesla 2 will be cheap, and that's what you need to compete against, if you can. A cheap car today has features that high-end cars did not have 10-20 years ago.
You guys are seriously lost it… you think it is fun laughing at all these start ups going bankrupt? I think it is heartbreaking I am all for clean transport and I am a Tesla fan. But you guys have seriously lost my respect. Defending teslas anti union efforts by comparing the swedish model to maffia, and laughing at the oems If you are not successful as tesla, the first car company in 100 years to make it in the business, you guys will diss. I am on your side in the green transport revolution, but please show some respect to people that try to move the needle
Why are you guys so critical of the news on Tesla, but not on Fisker? Why is it FUD when it comes to Tesla but not them? 2:00 did you also forget that Tesla cut model Y prices 12% just a week ago (collectively 5% over the last couple months). How is it that after all these years you’ve become the very biased and inaccurate news you despised?
