I've always thought FFAK, while solidly metalcore, kinda bordered on deathcore with the sheer heaviness...but this...this was straight Impending-Doom-level deathcore at that last breakdown. Me likes.
@@maryannvalerio9869 Don't wanna sound like an elitist but a heavy breakdown doesn't make it deathcore like. The whole song structure screams Metalcore.
@@lordtarkov9797 at least they are heavy again...their last few releases were pretty tame...the entire album through... Now let's just hope they are still going to glorify the Lord with their music...not having much hope with that though
I went to an album release show in Longview TX where Fit For a King was one of the opening bands. Ryan Kirby had recently joined on lead vocals and they only had like one or two songs with the first vocalist on their myspace/purevolume sites. I never imagined how far this band would come in 12 years, but they’ve grown so much and it’s been amazing to watch!
Can we just say thank you for being the only band out there that went back to their roots - going harder in stead of softer. This had serious Lorna Shore vibes at the end. Thank you!
I agree with you dude, but this is not the only band that made it. Look at Crystal Lake, Bullet for my Valentine (lately) or Shadow of Intent, for example. There are lots of examples

@@DEREK2438 they did and this single sucks balls too lol pretty generic and repetitive, breakdown was good but didn't make sense, it was put in there as if there was nothing else to add so they just put some random breakdown to make it a decent track
In a genre where it seems that a majority of great bands shift their sound and start going soft, Fit For a King is one of the only ones that have not strayed from their roots. From Descendants to this single, their music has remained consistent. Awesome stuff guys👍🏼
This song is heavier than a load of bricks and this song shows the consistency of Fit For A King as a band. Whether they make melodic soft stuff or go brutal like this song, you know it's gonna be good.
I'm so happy I could cry, I never thought they would get heavier😂, that disgusting breakdown at the end is the best thing I've heard all year. It was FFAK went DEATHCORE ON EVERYONE!!! Can't wait for when Eyes Roll Back comes out 🙏🏻

I have been listening to this band for 7 years I'm so glad I found this band they have brought me out of a lot of depression episodes when I feel like I want to end it all I listen to them and it makes me feel better thank you fit for a King you will never cease to amaze me with your music!!
YESSS. I was hoping to see some Stranger Things vibes in the Reaper music video, but I guess the ticking clock in an old house imagery could have gotten them in hot water with Netflix.
From Mexico I listen to them since 'Descendants' and since then they have never disappointed me, very good voices and the deathcore at the end, grrreat. 🤘
I mean come on .. they keep getting better I will support this band until the end .. they are simply amazing and talented beyond end .. I love FFAK!!!!

If this is the new sound of Fit For A King going forward, I am incredibly down!!! The Air Fry at the end reminded me of the vocal talents of Will Ramos, from Lorna Shore
So hyped! I can’t believe it’s dropping on the actual “Fit for a King” channel. I heard they’re gonna have a guttural in one of their songs for this album. They were talking about it at Denver in March
For a band I've seen twice and thought was "pretty good", this kind of stuff is going to push them to the next level. I like the simple "chorus" part because you can really sit with those vocals and appreciate the tone of them. This makes the lows extra awesome later on. I loved every second of that breakdown at the end. Great job!!

This song reminded me of the fourth horseman of the apocalypse who rides the yellow horse. I'm not sure if Ryan intended to convey that in the song, but that's what I understood. Great composition; the ending gave me chills, it's so well-crafted.
