228 feels a little deep in comparison to your overall skintone. It's the kind of shade that seems okay at first glance but gradually you begin to notice that it's dulling down your complexion somewhat, especially throughout the day as the foundation oxidizes. I think between the two 220 looks better on you since it does match your chest a lot better but it does still seem a little dull. Kinda grayish actually. A lot of our necks have pigmentation or slightly different coloration so don't worry if a shade doesn't match your neck too accurately. The other thing is that often the neck is in shadow so it will appear darker even if it technically isn't a different shade from the rest of your skin. So keeping all that in mind I think 128 is possibly the best match out of these shades. It gives your face enough colour and contrast without dulling it down nor washing it out too much. It's nice that you did this experiment! It's worth doing something like this from time to time to find a shade that we're happy with.

@@Kk4rt5 Hi if it looks pinkish then the shade possibly has the wrong undertone for you, and your skin is more warm toned. In that case you can try 220 or 310 depending on your skintone.

Hi I use 220 as well. Any suggestion which Kay Beauty foundation shall I use for my undereyes? I have dark undereyes so I will get an orange corrector too. But I am confused with concealer shade.
Just letting everyone know that Maybelline fit me oxidises like crazy, meaning, it'll turn orange within FEW minutes after you'll apply it on your face

228 is your shade , it doesn’t make anything dark , it gives you natural look 220 was brighter and made it look like you have put on makeup . To match with neck just put on compact 🤷🏻♀️
