Omigosh! It WORKED!! I washed my Fitbit and a few hours later it went dark. I thought it was a goner, but I did what this video suggested and it's working fine again. Thank you so much for this video!! Yeah!!
Thank you so much. It's hot so I was wearing my bathing suit around the house with my Fitbit attached. Later when I took a dip in the pool I forgot all about the Fitbit until I looked down and saw it. It wasn't working and I thought I had just created garbage but you helped revive it. I am so happy.
Some times it can take up to about 4 weeks of drying out then electronic things will work again after going though the wash. Had a old iPod do that and after about a month it worked like new again.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!! Worked for me, just took it sopping out of the washer when I realized it wasn't on my shirt, worked perfect. I was about to throw it away when my husband said search the web for how to dry a wet fitbit one.
Are you sure yours was damaged in the first place? Didn't work on mine, but it has been fine in the past when it accidentally got washed. (With no treatment afterwards)??
Adding electricity to something wet is a REALLY bad idea, basically the water can allow the battery to short out any part of the device. Just let it dry out first, charge it, and try it.
My Fitbit One went through the wash twice recently. First time, it was ok. Second time, it was blank. I put it in bowl of rice, covered, and in sun for a day. Still nothing. Then I tried this trick and it worked! It doesn't make any sense to me, but I'll take it. Maybe it dried out enough. Maybe there's something to this madness?
Just put it in the dryer in low setting.... lol.. That's what happened to me, put my fitbit one in the washer and dryer without knowing. Only figured it out when I retrieved it from the dryer. It still works great!
it didnt work for me. i washed my fitbit about 2 weeks ago and nothing. it did work for a while right as I took it out of the washer so I though it was fine but later that night, it was dead. :(
Me, again. 2 weeks later. The titbit's been fine this whole time, but then it stopped working a few days ago and this time the reset isn't working. : ( Anyone have any other ideas?
This is about the type of video you can expect from someone dumb enough to fail to remove electrical devices (and everything else for that matter) from their pockets before washing clothes.
