My experience with 3rd party apps has been atrocious in both Versa2 and Ionic. Continuous loss of connection, apps that offer just a fraction of their full functionality, and problems with syncing. Removing them has made my Versa4 super snappy and removed all the issues I had with my Versa2. Fitbit has been trying for the past 4-5 years to create a smartwatch with a 6-day battery while keeping the size at normal levels. We know now this is impossible. Apple has struggled for years (Apple watch still needs charging every day). I think Fitbit should focus on premium fitness trackers, including Google apps (wallet, maps, music etc.). Of course, they're not there yet, but the Sense2 and Versa4 are a step in the right direction. If someone wants to get a fully-fledged Fitbit smartwatch with all the bells and whistles (and problems, like 1 day battery life) can get the Pixel Watch.
I just got the versa 4 and I'm enjoying it so far. I don't care about the music app I listen to music on my phone. I only use the fitbit versa 4 for step and heart rate.
The new features are interesting to me, but more important is having the possibility of taking my music without the need for a phone (I have Deezer premium). On the other hand, the news of Sense 2 would not be possible in Sense 1 by software?
Is the fitbit app better than samsungs health when it comes to how many days your worked out and it reminds me if you need workout one more day? Like goals. Because Im confused what to buy GW5 or Fitbit sense 2?
Both will do the same about how your workouts are recorded. I don't know I could really recommend the sense 2 as it's missing a good amount of features currently
That's a very solid question. I think the sense 1 is better right now, but the way that Fitbit is looking to change with their user interface. I think I'm a couple years the versa 4 might be better. But as of today between the two I would go with the sense 1
They will never have third party apps, music apps or even local music playback controls, its confirmed also google assistant, wallet, maps and call support coming later
Things like Spotify integration and Strava plus other apps are very helpful to be on your wrist. Even things like having Starbucks on your wrist to pay with your account is just nice to have
@@FitnessWithFrost been only using it for 10 minutes so I'll have to let you know 😅 I never used the music feature, it's a shame it's gone when I decided to start using it lol.
@@FitnessWithFrost they release the product and promise everything in their marketing. You buy the product and you wait for that release you bought the product for. Then they release a new product and then that product you had bought is outdated. I've been with Fitbit since their first Fitbit watch. I do like their step counting. And sleep tracking. But I'm not going to lie about what all the other things they do
