I did Muay Thai for ±2 years. It's physically and mentally tough - you must be focused to follow the sequences. You won't injure yourself if you train with a good team/coach. It's not about injuring your oponent - it's about getting faster, stronger, and learning to use your body. I wish you tried it for at least a month; you'd be delighted with the progress. Feeling how much power your kick has once you learn to twist your hips is **chef's kiss**. Also, your shins get used to the kicking, you barely feel it afterward 😁

Killing it! I just started taking kickboxing classes and am obsessed. I really struggle to extend my kicking-side arm and pivot my non-kicking foot, but it all takes practice and as you start to improve it will become even more fun 😊

Love the Haldons Twinning outfits! My nephew is a Muay Thai fighter.....I have seen the bruises on him so its enough to make me spectate rather than get involved! Loved this Lucy - you were ace!!

Once you crack the arm extension (on the same side as the kicking leg when you kick), which feels SO awkward at first, everything will feel so much more natural 👌 it helps you turn your hip over and gives you power and speed. Can see your coach was teaching it straight off - he looks like a good coach. Very cool to watch you try this 😊 if you keep doing it, your feet/shins will stop hurting from contact with the pads, I promise!

Loved this! I’ve been really wanting to try Muay Thai so this was incredibly helpful and inspiring to see! I also really loved to see that someone as fit and athletic as you “struggled” haha

Ok I have an idea 🎉! After the small debate on the podcast a few weeks ago about who is fitter out of you or Ben, you should design a challenge which covers a few different elements e.g Running, speed, endurance, burpees, pull ups, farmers carry etc somethings that can test your abilities and go head to head to see who is fitter hehe! I would love to see you win 😅

Been training Muay Thai for years and love your videos, I've asked you before if you could give Muay Thai a try, glad you did. Personally it is one of the best sports that allow you to train everything including cardio

I do MT once a week 121 with a Kru and during the week I practice on a bag. I highly recommend it. I’m 39 and I love it.
