How to fix a crease or dent that happens in the structured front panels of your Fitted Caps. The buckram is "moldable" with heat, so here are a few ways to repair the damage and get the cap looking good again.

Doug, have you thought about getting a 47 brand franchise cap? They are basically fitted dad caps with the elastic stretchable sweatband you would see in a 39THIRTY. I don't own one anymore because my last one doesn't fit anymore, but it is a very comfortable hat. I highly recommend it for fitted cap fans.

- Any tips/tricks for the back panels of the hat? An issue I struggle with, though I do only typically buy one hat and wear it every single day until it loses shape. I’ve tried shaping it over the kettle but it never seems to keep from bunching up on me. I thought maybe some spray starch?

Yes, I'd say spray starch is your best bet, but I've never tried it myself. I would definitely recommend putting in a bump cap insert (or stuffing it with a towel/t-shirt) to make sure it is totally smooth before applying the starch. Thanks for the question.

@@dreinthe616 - I tried this, unfortunately it didn’t work. The back panels of the hat got floppy about a day after. Back to the drawing board. 😂

hey will this work if there dent on the fifty line strip inside the cap front right side to be specific

This technique relies on shaping the plastic fibers in the buckram, so if you're all the way to one side of those front panels, it's tough to say. I'd recommend giving it a try though, as long as you don't overheat it you probably won't make anything worse. Good luck and thanks for the question.

Yes, as long as the crown gets its structure from this kind of buckram, then wool, acrylic, polyester and cotton are all fair game.

Doug, did you see this year's official MLB Clubhouse cap collection? They are similar to the ones from 2 seasons ago, and that had me so disappointed.

I did see them, and while the designs look like they are repeated, I do plan to order one or two to check out a couple of details. First, it looks like there may be some embroidery mixed in with the "silicone" logo, and second, a variation on the cap material itself, thanks for the comments.
