why did you not scratch up the plywood first ???? im doing a deck next week and i was going to scratch up the plywood for a good key

No need, the ply is porous so by being generous on the first coat of resin the ply soaks it up. Before starting the boat I did a test piece with a lay up of two layers of chopstrand, the ply was screwed to the bench and it split the ply when I tried to peel it off. If you score it up you may crate voids which will bubble and create an air gap when you're laying up. Good luck with your boat 👍
