Love seeing you start to use some Evo parts for the X40! But would not some hardrace balljoints fit? I bought Evo 4-6 Hardrace balljoints for Bumpsteer adjustment but now im a little scared they might not fit into Volvo control arm??
The Evo 4-6 uses a different type of lower ball joint (non taper stub) and won't fit our hubs unfortunately. I'll get extended ones to correct roll centre before long, but will be civic fitment. I've not looked into bump steer correction just yet, but in the pipeline. I've used Evo parts on this and my previous S40 for years (decades!). I even converted my old one to RWD using Evo trailing arms, hubs, subframe and diff 😜. Oh, enjoyed Misha's recent vid too 😀
@@AndyPonting ahahah yeah gotta get used to track driving. Im planning on awd swapping mine, but a lot of other stuff needs to happen first, long way there....
@@AndyPonting Really cool that you have been using Evo parts for such a long time with such extensive projects!! When i have googled i only read about people on forums who have been quite in the dark with what parts fit. So i do have a question for you, since it is a "evo" chassie, would an evo 4 wheel hub (im talking the entire hub) fit on the X40 cars? Since the driveshaft needs to slide in and fit, which is what im mostly worried about. Because then i get the 5x114,3 pattern i want aswell if it fits
@@perfectedpursuit the "knuckle" would fit (that's what the Evo guys call it) but the spline for the driveshaft is not the same. I don't know if you could swap the outer CV to suit, but I doubt it. Having a 5 stud option would be great..... Best wait for my next video 😉
I want to know if the volvo control arms are the same as the mirage? I want more caster in my mirage but here in Puerto Rico is impossible to found evos 6 parts. I'm looking for an option to increase caster.
