I completely feel you on the bars feeling weird part. Changing bars definitely takes some getting use to. When I first put my Biltwell Keystone bars on my 2014 Bolt they were literally painfully uncomfortable! It was so disappointing at first because they looked sooo damn good, but were seriously painful and ridiculously uncomfortable to try to ride with. I was determined to try to keep them though because I loved the way they looked and had been looking forward to getting them for so long. Plus I got them on clearance for like $60 shipped!!! I got on the interweb, done some researchafication and found out about Rox pivoting adjustable risers. They come in a few different sizes, but I decided to go with the 2" set. I got them from Amazon so they were there the next morning. Them things absolutely saved the day!! They let me move the bars up and back approx 2" and play around with everything until I found the perfect spot. That made my new bars go from the most painfully uncomfortable and almost unrideable things I have ever felt to where they are now super comfy and perfect, and even make the bike feel easier to make tight nimble turns. They are sooo nice now! It does have my factory cables at their limit, but not in a bad way. I just rerouted them some and they are doing fine. Plus I check them all the time to make sure nothing has changed and they aren't rubbing anywhere. Anyways I just figured I would tell you about my similar experience. You might want to check out the Rox risers if you still need to fine tune your bars. They are pretty damn awesome!
I have a 2014 Bolt R Spec, love the bike man, its my first street bike since owning dirt bikes in high school. Im looking at getting new bars for my Bolt as well and yours look sick af. Where did you purchase them and how much? What size did you go with? I called RevZilla and i believe they said a 1 inch . Any help brotha would be greatly appreciated haha thanks man!
