Fitting SW Motech crash bars to Africa Twin which has a fitted BNB Dakar bash plate. No Steven Speilberg movie thats going to win me an oscar, but just a guide to help others and see how it fits and looks like. Thanks
Hi mate, honestly, have used them twice so to speak, still strong as and not deviated. But saying that I comment on that ive added the BnB full dakar bash plate which also helped and is worth it as you dont need to enclose yr bike in bars!...cannot complain at all..
@@moystonadv3651 thanks, was wondering about design: the mounting point are too close to engine so maybe when u crash u bend them into block of motor, like the OEM crap one!?????? Hard to judge how far is from engine,mean those which are behind header pipes!!
@@michsky46 bike is 200kilos and bags, its dropped on both sides, and mounts are good. bars are solid and thick and no bends. combine with the plate i have, and the barkbusters, bike has no scracthes on it. Some of the bars like OEM, they might as well make out of cheese. So far, ive not had a prob with them and not bent in either like others do and crack the fairing...these have not...good luck with your choice!
@@moystonadv3651 great, thank you. I am thinking of outback motortek or this. Price/quality/sturdiness matters to me a lot. Sw motech has interesting design its hooked behind(giving triangulation) in front 3times on a frame so maybe I buy them
