I notice your controller is sitting on some sort of plywood in the spa. Is that a good idea? I had a small leak in the spa, the wood got wet and bent under the weight of the pumps. The wood buckling caused a lot of leaks where the hard pipes were coupled to the pump unions. Good video on Heat Pump installation thanks.
I had this problem, I took out all the Plywood as it had rotted, replaced the Ply with Ecodeck. Gaps in the Eco deck allow for better drainage and as it's a plastic composite it will never rot!
@@YomiDave That's an excellent idea thanks. Ive just replaced the control box, heater and the console. All going great but need to do the base next. I hadnt thought of the ecodeck. Maybe some marine carpet on it as well ...make it look flash :-).
@@danwilliams4877 The EcoDeck came up pretty good on its own, I wouldn't add anything that can hold moisture, even Marine Carpet. I did add some rubber mat for mounting the pumps etc to stop any vibrational noise. I'm thinking about replacing the Control box soon. what did you go with?
