Looking great. I would strongly recommend you do not put a shaker or some other hood scoop on the car. A Tropicana Green GS V8 replica is the way to go value and desirability wise imo. Of course each to their own but with the demise of the Australian car, these much loved family sedans are only going to increase with age. A nice GS hood is the way to go or the standard hood in the interim. But again, it is totally what makes you happy and just my opinion.
Thanks for sharing Graham. Your definitely right, value of old Aussie made cars has gone up heaps lately. I'm so glad I have me old fords. Such a great feeling to get recognition for all the hard work when driving around. Keep the video's coming 😊
Great Video mate! Can really see you love this old girl and She seems really smooth on the road , hope you do keep her. Also love the choice of wheels , I had some of those on a green 289 Xr back in the 80s , seeing yours brought back those memories .
I’m assuming those hurricanes are 14”. Sumitomo do a great tyre for muscle car era wheel and tyre packages. I think they’re htr200. Highly recommended.
Thanks for doing this video - I did this to my grille today, with a bit of self doubt during it cause the insert rings looked odd, like they needed to be the other way around. Only when I held a headlight on the bracket into place, and watching your video a few more times, did I feel I had done it right.
Peter Anderson video are the find of the century on RU-vid doesn't matter if it car computers or motorcycles ive taken on jobs I never had the confidence to do even got inspiration from a motorcycle video to restore the gauges in my xc gs and I must've done a passable job as everyone commented on how good the dash looks as with your and Don's tricks video and Peter's videos keeps me in the shed and progress has been huge
Hey mate , great job , any chance you have any info on how to mount the driving lights . I've got the brackets and backing plates however confused on how they are mounted . Cheers
Xb's coming along nicely yep your going about it the right way so you can drive it me I did it the wrong way and it's been sitting for 14 or so year's makes a good inside storage for kids stuff lol I'm slowly uncovering it. Keep the vids coming 👍 have a good Christmas and a happy new year 🎉
another great video mate . xb didnt have some sort of marking on back of grill ? i remember my brother xa did also a mate's xc for the rally pack lights .. curious huh . the snotbox is looking better everytime it appears now , you though of 15 by7's front an 8" rear 5 or 12 slots ? they look great , turbines look cool but magnums deepdish ?? holden guy but not my fault lol . loving the way your doing that xb so far . cheers , Dave
love it.absolutely love it.what a great car.i had a nice xc fairmont that was taken out by a garbage truck, but that's another story.you did a nice job with that grille,it look's factory.just progress with this vehicle at your own pace and i am sure it will be a stunner.don't you dare sell it.
Nicely done ! Does anyone know If there is a kit for xa grills and how well do they work ? Who sells the best .also who sells firewalls for xa , most people I have talked to have stated to stay away from Rare $ as there fitment is bad and there are smaller manufacturers here in Australia making better panels then the one made with chop sticks ???
I believe you can get the driving light ring kits to suit xa an they would mount to the grill in the same way and the guys from better than new old stock have alot of really good parts
Peter Anderson knows his stuff mate you can't keep yourself out of it can you keeping you busy active mind be nice if someone drops off an E series for some of your magic work anyway Ford keep you guessing beautiful country there
