Amazing to catch such big beautiful barra in the middle of one of Qld’s biggest cities. It’s stuff like this that makes me want to tell greenies to get rooted. Even amidst major urban development, our waters are still full of life. Awesome footage.
Great debut vid, mate. As a viewer from over the Tasman in NZ, i didn't realise there were barra that far south in Queensland - more used to watching the guys in far north of Queensland and up in NT. But they are probably the biggest barra I've seen. Dinosaurs.
What gear do you use for barra up there? im moving up in a week and need to get heavier gear but not sure where to start. i use a 2000 shimano with 10lb braid and 20lb leader when using lures / softs. when i got a bait out i got a 4000 with 30lb braid and 30lb leader. No problem in the estuarys down the goldie but looks like theres some dinos up your way
Epic session! Great to see you finally on RU-vid! $1.34, that’s mad!! Great stuff mate and look forward to seeing what’s next! What Rods that you using, looks like a heap of length to it? 🎣🔥
@gewelf1205 I love fishing and have fished for over 65 years. I have seen what fishing was to what it is today. Fish numbers all over the world are in . Even this guy who's video this is says with livescope it's catching not fishing.
