itspodin well the main issue is that my router is like in our “attic” and my ps4 is in my room. So the Ethernet cable would have to go all the way down the stairs, through a door, and then down the hall and into my room.
I'd like to add one more... LEARN THE SPACING OF YOUR MOVES. Go into training mode and see how far your moves will hit in different scenarios (dash input first, landing opponent, opponent moving towards you, etc..) This will help you learn when to throw out moves and decision making. Also if you are struggling against a weapon looking at the spacing in training room too. Also pick up the weapon for about a week and you will learn things about it. Have a session when you only go for moves where you feel are guaranteed to hit and this will improve spacing. Hope this helps. Sorry for the length.
Exactly. Not only will this help you understand the range of your hitbox, but also know where your opponent will land after executing a move so that you can punish him/her effectively. I would like to add something here.....Learn how much knockback your opponent receives from a particular attack at a particular health, so you know where to input the next attack to lead to a combo.
Its both true and not 9/10 likely true... But some times even if you are being creative with play style you're restricted by your tools for example delays in controller command can be downfall.I generally am not mad by it though. I always say to my comrades about winning even against people better than you "It only takes 1 mistake, make them make the mistake and capitalize".
Technically it's true. If you lost, your bad, their better, or you can't keep up with the opponent's strat (spamming lol). But you right, the way he said it.
@@king55mundo26 Every character has their strengths and weaknesses. Even if the opponent is spamming, you need to get good to beat them. That's why pro players don't spam. *It's fair*
I have 2 general tips I give out once you got the general things down. 1. Spectate good players, have them spectate you or talk about approaches, combos, scenarios, etc. 2. I have a particular mindset that I learned from a few people "Every time you get hit, it's a mistake on your end" Adding a few things to your video though; 1. The dodging tips were solid, although I would have added the advice to make people learn soft reads as much as possible (a prediction that covers several options from your opponent) 2. You don't need every sig on every weapon at the top of your head since that's not really relevant until top play. It's good to have general framedata knowledge on weapon attacks and sigs, but a feeling is mostly good enough
@@brian51015 trust me I know people who don't dodge And in lower silver most people don't dodge and I'm sure that there are at least a few people who are low silver
@@ninuraix8297 dodging is something everyone eventually starts doing on a regular basis. There is a whole buttom dedicated to dodging. The people that don't dodge just haven't gotten use to the context in which it would be best to dodge.
Honestly, the last part about getting tilted and emotional, I really needed that. I'm one of those that can get so hard on myself and start blaming everything and start playing sloppy. But recently I've been working on that and hearing it in this video really just made me realize the impact your mind has on the game. Thanks for the awesome video bro
Hiii Lucian, I would like to thank you for your efforts to help the community. I started the Game a week back and was so confused on how to not get destroyed every now and then but after watching this I can say I learned more than what I learned after playing it for a week. Tuned in for more such schooling videos.
I think that the fastest way to level up is to join you and a friend a costume room and set the lives on 99 and the time to 15 minutes and do as much damage and take as much stocks as you can till the time end it is kinda broken
@@thomasgoudreault1730 true but that could be an alternative for people who don't want to play experimental against salty players and play with a friend
I've started playing this game a week and half ago and I've already learned a lot with this guy, in the first 2 days I was spamming but didn't felt that was good, so came to watch this guy and now instead of spamming I'm destroying spammers, also learned to main one weapon and kind of one legend, I have ember on level 20 and also I feel really good with the bow, I just want to say thanks to Lucian and the whole brawlhalla yt community
When I first started the game I got bodva, my friend said he’s trash but that was because I was a noob back then,’now I’m a lot better and found out he’s a top tier character lol
I'm still gold, i've spent more than 500 hours in the game, i have every single character in the game with more than lvl 20, with wu shang(52), mordex(51), nix(45) and mirage(37). I have tried every single read that is able to read, won against a lot of gold players, and plats, even some diamonds(not that much). And im still losing against a fucking orion or lance-axe player because they play passive, they spam and the float all around the map. I honestly don't know what to do, for me this tips are easily erased when lance-axe players appear.
Dxey im glad to say, i finally got plat last season and now i got the border, on my 2 accounts, but unfortunately wasn’t with wu shang, i got it with mirage and played straight 9 hours. I stoped trying to read the next move on my opponents, and directly atack to where they were going to move when they are baiting me, strings of max 2 moves, and just when i was sure of the enemy dodge i made the hole string
6:40 U actually reminded me of one funny stuff I managed to learn xD So the story goes like this - me and my friend, one 2v2 friendly lobby, and another group of 2 Enemy team has zariel with skin Enemy zariel grabs my friend 4 times off stage by nair (we've just started playing back then, plz don't laugh) I loved hammer so I picked kor next 50 or so games And tried doing same thing - use nair off stage Like 5 games later I took my first kill with this And for every next game - I had at least one kill doing this xD this is so funny that I just learned it one day by watching my friend getting bullied in low ranks xD
Me playing first time brawlhalla; Keep Spamming baby Yeahh!! Until someone pro scythes show me the way how to play the true way.And now thanks to him my favorite weapon is scythes😁😁
@@astrefate2610 its too late i already love scythes at the first I met him.He show me his combo and i always replay and try to make the same combo as he make😘
My tips are to examine other brawlhalla players that are pretty decent,(shwerpy, cosolix, boomie for example)play ranked ALOT so you can learn diff play styles. You should also try to experiment in training and try to learn combos.
I'm always playing on 1 - 2 bars network in Brawlhalla. Even though Africa may never get its own servers maybe I can still improve.. however at a certain point you simply just can't get past the lag disadvantage. :(
@@decimalcross3325 well if it's on 2 you can at least play without teleporting across the screen. Alot of attacks I hit get cancelled out by latency or something but I can still kinda tolerate it. But when that bar drops to 1 I cannot stand it. I close the game and call it a day. 3 bars is a blessing.
@@jackbirch2103 pod, that must hurt big time. I have this queen nai who has gold border and keeps fighting me in silver ranked. I want to die whilst fighting the sigs.
I think I have a better explanation of how to do dodge reads: So what you wanna do is grab any weapon or use offhand, then attack first and see where the player dodges let them go then attack again so then since you know where the opponent is going to dodge you can read them for the rest of the match (unless if they dodge another way)
Dodge and Dodge reads Learn basic strings Remember all the signatures of all weapons of all legends Movement speed. Move faster Always learn. Look at replays and plays of other good players Learning all sigs of all legends aside, I feel getting good at other 4 would get you(and me) to gold at least, or maybe upper gold too
Best guide I’ve seen and it’s all true, it’s just not Fun to go against spammers and toxic players win or lose, I enjoyed this video and learned so much, thank you! ( YOUR THE BEST!!)
Honestly my best quality in brawlhala is recognizing patterns and being able to tell what people are going to do, then I forget what my dodge key is and still get combed
Five ways to easily improve 1. Read every move your opponent does. 2. Know the frames for every move of every character.. 3. Find out where your opponent lives and threaten them. 4. Never sing the word "Tequila" on cue. 5. Break a Nokia 3310 in half using your eyelids.
I played 2 hours 50 game just to get from 1400 to 1500 on ranked after I lost alot got mad I said I will WIN I did my best start to be fast even if I didn't learn it a I did it just do your best one day you will shine
For the strings if your a gauntlet main, a easyish combo that works 99 percent of the time is legit anything that gets the opponent upwards than double recovery I do this to this day in ranked and it almost ALWAYS works. It’s also really satisfying when you see them die when they shouldn’t have.
I just found out that You are likely to gain when fighting the same stronger person over and over. And my way to do that is : 1. be a sig spammer. 2. get invited to private room 3. get improved in there.lmao
I started playing brawlhalla like a week ago and this was very helpful, great video! Especially with he quick moving. In my tank no one does this so I will most likely improve quicker. Great video!
Probably one of the easiest yet neglected is thinking. Where should i move? When should I light attack? When should I sig? Is the enemy in kill range? If i hit him in this angle, where will he land, and how can I follow up? There is a lot to think about, and if you just spare some energy to think, you can turn the fight from that 1 annoying sig spammer or a decent player that you think is a god.
Didn’t help that I was a Lucien main the second I picked the game up, does it? Also I still am a Lucien main, imo he deserves a LOT more attention (I literally see him like once every 3 to 5 months online)
Just a simple tip if you are around gold learn your opponents, do basic attacks. Unlike dudes in plat that has an universal playing style gold is pretty varying. If he's a jumpy one, NSigs hit more than you believe (orb DLight hits very well for example) If he's passive, make him wait If he's aggressive, dodge reads.
My problem with this game is that I always play a little better and more consistent than my opponent but I feel like sometimes this game just has BS moments where certain people will do something lucky with a scummy character and I loose and it’s so frustrating I’m usually stuck around 1750 elo and my Highest ever was 1830
yep totally agree especially with that no.3 just like in other game if u know the legend well u should know how to avoid their attack well too cuz u know how it start, where it goes, and where it end. thx
an SHIT thing in brawhala is need to get diamond in every old season to get the maximized avatar player that get now will stay late of old player every new player are extremly frustrated seeing old players get rewarded for have a old acount:(alpha and beta, founder pack, havens weapons skins, enter mordex, etc avatars) even if the player plays 1 hour brawlhalla per year or rarely plays. in my mind players need to be rewarded for playng and helping community every new player need a chance. the metadev items is good you can get a skin now or in future same of events that hapen every year
i have been playing this game since rayman came out and im kinda a pro at console but my xbox broke as my controller so i have to play on another device so i play on pc and im still trying to learn how to play on cross-platfroms so i can get better at ever device thanks luciens!
Just got back to this game, saw a lot of Orion spammers (due to orion being on free rotation). Some of them rage quit after me just continuosly dodge hopping while they spammed side heavy.
