I never went that route but my sister-in-law is a LEO and my wife is trying to become a paramedic at sometime. Edit: my second mom (I have more than 2) is/was a registered nurse
As a military wife, and a mother and grandmother of law enforcement officers, how have I not heard this? Thanks for playing snd reacting to this. You rock my friend. lol
Gary Sinise is an actor (Lt. Dan in Forest Gump) and musician. He is also well known for his support of our troops and first responders. An honorable man.
BLUE ON BLACK! Brian May (Queen) just nailed that solo! Awesome! God bless you Van (and Lt. Dan). "I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies" - Al Capone
Kenny is there playing with those guys, I really dig how they brought the original artist into their cover, I think it shows class on FFDP's part. This version has more PUNCH that Kenny's version lacks IMO, his is good, this one just brings what his version was missing.
thank you, man for everything that you do. as folks have already commented, gary has been an actor for years. little known fact.... gary went to ground zero for 9/11 and helped in the recovery effort. i think that he was a former first responder before his acting career. he helped at ground zero for days, if not weeks. he didn't want anyone to know, because it wasn't about him at all. somehow, it got leaked about what he had done. he's a very good man to say the least. i don't know if you've checked this five finger death punch video before, but PLEASE watch their official video "wrong side of heaven". it's about the way that military veterans have, and are, being treated until this very day. i literally cry every time i watch it. great song and video. they care. thanks again, and love and peace to you all....
YES!! "Wrong Side Of Heaven" is also a MUST!!!! It's even more moving than this one..... Every, single, person in this country should see that video.... Such an important message and the video REALLY drives it home!!!!
Van check the original song by Kenny Wyan Shepherd This boy can play the blues with the best of them He does a BB KING song called YOU HAVE DONE LOST YOUR GOOD THING NOW His father took him to see SRV when he was 7 years old and bought him a guitar and he has been playing the blues ever sense This boy can absolutely tear a guitar up
FFDP just elevating the game like they ALWAYS do. I love so many different kinds of music but I keep coming back to these guys because they are so good.
You really have to listen to The Wrong Side of Heaven awesome tribute to veterans. He sings about how bad they h a very it when they return n to civilian life, it's really a heartbreaking song
Thank you so much for this. My husband is I firefighter/1st Responder and I am too and EMTS. WE APPRECIATE YOU!!!!!!!!! I’ve not really commented cause it shakes the bed and will wake him a lot when I am watching HOURS of your videos or working and can’t. I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥 you and have rocked with you for awhile now and wish I had found you sooner than end of 2019. BUT WILL RIDE OR DIE w/ you now and you perspectives!!!!! We need so many more like you and I love my top 10 reactors cause even if its the same song y’all ALL have such great takes and personalities and thoughts AND THERE IS ROOM FOR ALL OF YOU like I couldn’t comment but need to go back and do more than just like No Life Shaq’s comment THANKING US & ENCOURAGING US!!!!!!!!! I was having one of the worst days and nights and was crying cause God knew I needed that. Thank you and all of y’all for your great appreciation of music and ALSO even maybe artists etc or something that you don’t necessarily love as much BUT DO IT FOR US and AS SOON AS I CAN donate to your Patreon and buy me some merch I AM!!!!!!!!! I will pay extra to ge5byiu to make a few of your old things again when my bday rolls around. Taxes just took what little $$$ I had. BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH and this group has helped me as being in the line of duty which has been the hardest ever the last few years. I’ve never been to so many domestic abuse, child abuse, acts of violence, car crashes cause of texting & drinking (WE HAVE UBER & friends!!!!!!!) I stayed sober and drank at the house or stayed BUT always so I wouldn’t be coming to a friends death or accident I knew we had a better Chance of packing as many as possible in whatever ride I drove on getting home safely. And the fires......geez.....and I won’t even talk about our military cause I have 1 too many friends and family on the front lines and my cousin is a marine (and a bomb specialist) with a bomb dog....🙏🙏🙏🙏😢😢🙌🙌❤️❤️ HES seen and done too much as well as my best friend who has been in some form of military or LE or mercenary work for years. Only age and kids and injuries is why he’s still not on tours. He was in Heavy combat in 1st Gulf War, Operation, Enduring Freedom, Operation Infinite Justice, Operation, Iraqi Freedom and 3 undercover deep missions. He was a special forces Green Beret for our army and a dang fine one. Just glad all his medals and stripes didn’t cost him his life. And another close friend was a Ranger who got blown up when his convoy went over an IED that back then they didn’t have NEAR the technology we have now in the 90’s especially early to mid. And I cannot wrap my mind around what they saw and had to do all 3 of them cause WHAT PARENT STRAPS BOMS ON A 5 or 6 year old???????? SO THANKFUL I LIVE IN THE USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But again thank you so much Van and OH YOUR BIGGIE POSTER I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I cried when he died. Course I grew up in that error, I turn 43 in November so man was I fortunate to be a part of not “after hearsay” about those legends BUT to watch them and be here for even their awful deaths. I have an old iPad so it only lefts me do the ORIGINAL yellow hand 🖐 color choice so (I know you don’t see BUT......) major 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 to you and for you BUT keep it up AND thanks for all the encouraging words. I could watch your stuff 24/7 and your wisdom even though I am older. OH AND and the end of this Gary Sinise is the lead actor on CSI: NY AND WAS in many movies BUT he was Lt Dan in Forrest Gump lol and in the Green Mile (OH M GEE what a great movie) cry every time (and that’s been alont) BUT........ he STRONGLY SUPPORTS our troops and all he did for our 1st Responders in 9/11 etc. WONDERFUL MAN & know it personally from some close friends, and you pronounce his last name kinda like this Ci (or Sy or Si) Née (knee) see Si Ni Se..... just helping. Awesome reactions again!!!!! And yeah this group collaborated was unbelievable like you said the way they blended but sounded good alone too. And Drums and Guitars. DRUMS kick butt. I could listen to a great drummer all day and night.
Gary sinise is a major contributor to first responders and backs the blue! He also is an actor and played in forest gump “lieutenant dan.” Great song and great reaction!
First time hearing this. I've heard some of Brantley Gilbert's music, Brian May, lead guitarist of Queen, I know from Queen concert & decades of listening to them...this song is awesome! Thanks.
Gary Sinese played Luetenant Dan on Forest Gump and after they finished making the movie he started a charity for ex military and first responders and he's been building it up ever since. Gary sinese is a really great guy.
One is meta(FFDP)l, 2 are country.... Brantley Gilbert Solo artist and Kenny Wayne Shepard from Big n Rich ("Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy") and then the legend, Dr. Brian May... lead guitarist from one of the BEST Rock bands of all time... QUEEN. This was one hell of a collaboration!!! Peace... :)
@@michaelgilbert197 kenny from Big and Rich is Kenny Alphine. Kenny Wayne Shepard is a Rocker and Blues guitar master (and Mel Gibson’s son in law). Check out his work! He is amazing. He is not a singer for the most part so, if you watch the original, he is not singing. Take care.
Amazing. Love this. Wonderful collab, thank you for introducing me to it! And amazing reaction too, always keepin' it real in this fam. Gary Sinise is an actor, probably best known for his role in CSI: NY.
That foundation provides support for first responders, and military I believe- stuff like home modification for wheelchairs or amputee prosthetics and more.
Gary Sinise is an actor who does a tremendous amount for veterans. I didn't realize his foundation also supported first responders. Amazing human being. FFDP rocks and this was a beautiful cover.
The blond guy is Kenny Wayne Shepard he wrote it way back with his band and ffdp covered it and then this is a remix with brantley gilbert country artist and guitarist from queen which is saying first responders are blue n black is referring to dying in line of duty n they can't come back
As an Army wife and and Army auntie, this song always punches me in my soul. We also have firefighter who work for CDF and I know they risk their lives everyday. We are a lucky nation to have so many faithful defenders.
Brantley Gilbert is a country artist, he did some songs with Colt Ford (who songs "hick-hop) a while back, you should definitely check those out. As was already said Brian May is a legend And Kenny Wayne had a blues band back in the early 2000s with a similar feel as SRV and Allman Brothers. He's not the singer of his band, only guitar and writer. I saw him open for the Allman Brothers. GARY SINISE is lieutenant Dan from Forest Gump. He has a band as well.
God, still love Brian after all these years. One of the very best at guitar and it is all just feel. He hardly shreds or goes intricate, yet it always sounds so good.
OH forgot to say also if you watch more of their videos. He does a LOT OF AND A LOT OF TRIBUTES TO OUR MILITARY and even goes does visits. And concerts. Love this guy Ivan moody is the lead singer. Just fyi. Please do more from these. Living the Dream! Will leave you 🤯
Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a beast on the guitar and one great songwriter. First played professionally at 13 years old with the Late Great B.B.King. KWS best live show out there today. This is a great cover. Saw FFDP play this with KWS a few years ago in Vegas. After the song FFDP singer was bowing down to Kenny Wayne. The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band brings it every time.
Loved this! Thank you. Five Finger Death Punch 'Living the Dream' then watch 'Little Bit Off'. Definitely will blow your mind. This is a great song too!! I live you saying HITTTTT THAT THAAANNNNGGG! PLEASE do reactions for those songs. Hint...has to do with what we are dealing with in the pandemic. Much love!!!
This is a cover. Checkout the original version By Kenny Wayne Shepherd... The original is where it's at. I used to cover this song over 15 yrs ago in my band.
@@Avram42 Brian May(lead guitarist) is a doctor of Astrophysics. He earned his doctorate a.k.a. PhD in 2008. All the guys in Queen have a college degree. They were a bunch of exceptionally gifted, highly intelligent human beings.....
Thank you for keeping great music alive and relevant! Appreciate this channel and your reactions. So many layers to you and this channel, always interesting 👏
If you liked the Blues sound in this song, it was a cover/remake of Mr. Kenny Wayne Shepherd who you saw playing on this song and video. Give the original version of Blue on Black a listen. Also give his cover of Voodoo Chile a listen. You’ll Love It!! 🔥🔥🔥
Love all you had to say.... With Memorial Day creeping up, Please consider doing "Wrong Side Of Heaven" from Five Finger Death Punch(official vid).... It's very moving, and has an equally powerful and important message. Thanks, Peace....
I live where one of the Quickest mass shootings ever happened. Police stopped the guy in under a minute.. Had they waited 10 more seconds to react, It could easily have been one of the deadliest mass shootings to ever happen.. I have mad respect for LEO and all First responders after that.
check out "those who like me love me" by Brantley Gilbert . Kidrock "WE THE PEOPLE" & Aaron Lewis 'am I the only one" I think you'll appreciate all 3. ENJOY
This is a good cover but the original is better. You should react to the original version now. Blue on Black - Kenny Wayne Shepard with Noah Hunt on vocals. Kenny Wayne is the guitarist.
Since we share the love of bad-a$$ drums...I'm going to suggest Metallica's 'Fuel'...not a fan of their drummer Lars...but he is a great drummer and I love this song❤
Man this song was a timeless classic to begin with. Then you take Five Finger Death Punch who when its said and done for them will be legends and add the original singer of this classic Kenny Wayne Shepherd one of the greatest guitarists and legend in his own right in Brian May and you kick in Brantley Glibert who is the closest thing that country music has to southern rock in todays music and a true legend when his careers over but u know I'm speaking from my view on BG.. But to sum it all up you get to see Rock Blues and Country royalty and legends all combing to completely kill a timeless classic...
They showed some of our brave Las Vegas police officers running towards the gun fire to try and stop that sonuvabitch that shot at the country music listeners. VEGAS STRONG!!!
