@@rhysandmike3373 Really?? Your dad was fifty when you were born. That's grandpa age in my family/culture. (Western Europe) Wow, what an age difference in becoming parents/grandparents. Young parents/grandparents can do anything with their children/grandchildren after work, because we're all still young and strong/healthy/fit. Youngest mommy and daddy both can go to work. We all babysit in shifts, both parents and all 4 grandparents. No stranger/babycare for needed for our babies. (Our son neither was with strangers, same system) Creates a strong family bond between all of us and daughter in law can do her beloved fulltime job without feeling guilty to leave her kids with strangers. (She didn't study for nothing right?) Here, youngest Grandma at the age 52, youngest grandpa at the age of 54. I'm 58 (almost 59) now and grandchildren are 6 and 5 and I know how different my energy level is than when my son was 5/6. In my head, I'm still that young mom, but my body is definitely different despite I'm healthy and fit. I'm glad that my grandchildren go home after my babysit shift. Huge chance that your dad won't meet your children. Wow.
8/23/18 was my first time hearing this. Very good. Nothing wrong showing what you can do on an old song. Did justice, pays tribute to Kenny Wayne Sheppard
FFDP is nothing short of awesome. They have the balls to cover well known songs when they do. Many of you listen to covers of 70's and 80's era songs and don't even know it. Not to mention they one of the few bands to openly stand for our Troops.
Don't care if this is a cover, I am rocking out to this in full. Love this band so much and a lot of their songs have so much power to them and are easy to rock out to.
I'm a knucklehead and I am not ashamed, these guys really are talented, not every song is a winner but they don't have to be either. I hope Ivan gets/has the help he needs to live a long and happy life.
At first I hated them absolutely couldn't stand this band the first two to three albums I thought were shit! I'm one who actually buys the CD and gives any band a chance but lately after ivan sobered up I feel 5fdp has reached my heart more than ever and this cover proves they are talented and inspirational.
Haters need something to hate on to feel better about themselves. This cover is great, no, it's not the original, that's the point. It's FFDP putting their touch on it!
Having lost several loved ones to the war on terrorism, this hit hard. I've lost my best friend to a man with a gun, I was lucky to survive. I held him in my arms as his life faded away, I just wish I had said THOSE THREE WORDS before that horrible day. Dayton H. April 12th 2001-July 27th 2018. I miss you brother, hope god is using you in a way that you wished you could. God bless our men and women's in uniform.
@@legendofacriuswithornament2019 Correction, they let 17 year olds go to boot camp with their parents permission. They aren't allowed to be in active service till their 18
Hey boss I go to ffdp every time they come to ga .. trust me they have the coolest fans American flags soldiers and if you get knocked Down in the crowd they will stop playing till you're on your feet
Andrew Stratton Neither are better. It's the same song. Just depends on what style you prefer. I personally like this cover more because the metal element. Saying one is better than the other is stupid. They are both great.
The original song was my grandpa's favorite. The original may not be my favorite, but I'm still on his tracks and keeping his name. Rest in Peace, Pawpaw. Hope you have tons of mustangs up there.
This last album was awesome to me. I love how the band is evolving, trying new sounds, and they make it perfect. I'm waiting them here in Argentina! Love U 5FDP!
This rendition is absolutely incredible...FFDP has done it again! They need to get their asses back to our town again soon, absolutely amazing watching these guys rock it in stage.
I got to watch their show once. It was a nice relief from the insanity I was going through at that time. They actually pull me through hard times sometimes. My fave? I don't have a favorite artist. I love all genres of music.
Every decade seems to bring a new style / genre of music / bands in while it ushers the other out. My heart was in the late 70’s -80’s listening to Dio, Ozzy, Maiden, Priest, Rush, Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Sabbath, Yngwie, Metallica, Pink Floyd etc and the musicians actually all did guitar, bass and drum solos. I gotta say FFDP is kick fucking ass !! It’s so great to see bands that can actually play their instruments well such as FFDP, Avenged Seven Fold, Stone Sour, Skipknot, Pop Evil and so many others bringing great rock music back. For the most part the last 20 years were full of boy bands and pop stars who never even held an instrument. And the ones that did were 3 cord wonders like Green Day. No knock to Green Day to each his own but I am so stoked about these incredibly talented bands bringing the kick ass rock back front and center. 🤘🤘
FFDP are on top of it with their covers recently! This and Gone Away are some of my favorite covers ever, I love their versions more than the originals...
Hell yeah, FFDP. Love this. Just queded up on my YT set. Saw KWS in El Paso when this album first came out. I was as far to them as I am to this computer screen. Amazing concert as well as an amazing song. Very cool cover.
Night... falls and I'm alone Skin... yeah, chilled me to the bone You... turned and you ran, oh yeah Oh, slipped... right from my hands Yeah [Chorus] Blue on black, tears on a river Push on a shove, it don't mean much Joker on jack, match on a fire Cold on ice, a dead man's touch Whisper on a scream Never change a thing Doesn't bring you back It's like blue on black [Verse 2] Blind... oh, but now I see Truth... lies and in between Wrong... can't be undone, oh no Well it slipped... from the tip of your tongue Yeah [Chorus] Blue on black, tears on a river Push on a shove, it don't mean much Joker on jack, match on a fire Cold on ice, a dead man's touch Whisper on a scream Never change a thing Doesn't bring you back It's blue on black [Bridge] Blue on black, tears on a river Push on a shove, it don't mean much [Chorus] Blue on black, tears on a river Push on a shove, it don't mean much Joker on jack, match on a fire Cold on ice, a dead man's touch Whisper on a scream Never change a thing Doesn't bring you back It's blue on black [Outro] Yeah, blue on black Yeah, it's blue on black Yeah, blue on black
I remember hearing hard to see as the song that introduced me to them on liquid metal satellite radio. I knew back then these guys were gonna be big. 🤘☠️
Oh, hell yeah! Loved the original (Kenny Wayne Shephard being IN this cover is absofreakinglutely fandamnedtastic!), love the hell outta this one, too - I keep coming back to listen to this, over and over! ESPECIALLY since what was done to me 20 months (and 3 days, but who's counting?) ago, which brought SO much more meaning to the song! Thank you, 5FDP, for being you! And thank you, KWS, for being in on the remake of this effing amazing song!
