I'm 51 and have always been a die hard metal head. I will die a metal head. When bands like this come out I'm like a teenager all over again. People hear me coming and when they see this little old lady get out of my truck they can't believe I'm thrashing to heavy metal. Rock on. I always will. Peace
You're not an "old lady" yet at 51. I'm 53 and that would make me an old man and, naa ! I ain't old yet. I've played drums in heavy metal bands since age 19 or 20. Yor only as old as you let yourself feel. Or maybe if you have an old man, then that would maybe qualify you as someones 'ol lady but cut it out, you can't make me feel old! Ha Ha.
They're not all the same Sergeant Christopher Francis bear is an accused child molester in a traitor to the United States of America and our government says he's a f****** hero he was a Marine Sergeant Corey J Pyle trailer to the United States of America airborne and some of the National Guard committed treason our government covered up for it right to the American White House
I'm a 44 year old Veteran who spent 22 years in the U.S. Navy and this song still can bring me to tears. Like others have said, the lyrics ring more and more true as these years pass by us. If you're reading this, I wish you well and good health. Hope you have a great and safe holiday season filled with love. Cheers!
@@iversonmatthew good health comes within, check out the solfeggio and other frequencies they can heal quite a lot if u hear daily or during sleep, and hetbal solutions and healthy food always beats medicaments, sugar and processed food is cause almost all sicknesses
I am 16 a short 4'9 girl this is one of my favorite songs and no one expects it. This band is amazingly in the lyrics it makes me think of the rest of my family and they wash away the pain my dad makes me feel. Because he is mentally abusive and shames me and my body.Thank you FFDP
The only ones opinion you should care about is your own, and even there you should take it with a large grain of salt. But oneself will always overreact.
I was unable join the uk army due to shoulder injuries constantly but hats off to any one who serves their country for family for freedom these are doing it for use all who fight away from home

being a Marine combat veteran who survived hell on the battlefield. During the Mothers day 1969 Arizona battles where death and dying happened all around us. Lots of anger and rage inside of me and guilt for surviving when others next to me died. First heard this music and it calmed down my inner rage
Thank you Five Finger Death Punch. I'm a combat veteran and when my PTSD is giving me a hard time I always listen to you. Seriously thank you from the bottom of my heart
Ty for sharing i too have PSTD I also crank this up on my bose all washed away by time song over music soothes the sole im 59 in august and still rocking out
I am a 53 year old life long metal head and Veteran...I have seen over 700 concerts from over 300 bands, I have been laid out in a Slayer mosh, staged dived at Rob Zombie, nailed a chick during Ozzfest, been in a Metallica video and high five Ronnie James...Seen it all...Not to many bands these days impress me much, but this band has absolutely knocked me on my ass...This song and band can be legendary...THANK YOU 5FDP
@@loonylooser9422 No, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night I have been lucky in my life to have access to bands that others don't...So yes, I enjoyed those moments
In 2008 I deployed to Iraq. I extended my tour of duty after my first was done for a whole year more. A year and half in country I got moved up north to Baghdad. I just came inside the wire from a night long patrol mission. On the way to the chow hall, someone stopped and asked us if we would like to PSD (Personal Security Detail) for some band. Honestly, I didn't even know who they were. I hadn't heard their music either. I half sarcastically said yes and the condition was that it was that same day of we didn't get to go rack out we went straight to the airfield to await the arrival in a C-130 and would work up until their departure sometime that next night. Which we did. The band was amazing, I felt like I hadn't felt in so long. Brightest part of that tour of duty. I've been a fan ever since and any time I hear their music I get very emotional, no matter the song. FFDP, thank yo for being the best thing about my PTSD. You guys are amazing and do some much for the troops and vet community. Oh and after we pulled PSD and they left sometime in the night, I turned right around and went back on mission outside the wire for that night. Best 72 hours without sleep ever.
It’d be way better than some of the crap that’s been out. I remember thinking Hinder and Buckcherry would be awesome. There was a saying by Ron White “I believe a bad half-time show is better than a soccer game”. However, time has changed. I’d rather watch a soccer game than whatever that act was the last Super Bowl. Please let Bad Wolves, 5FDP, or godsmack do a halftime show with some good music.
Brings back a memory I didn't remember for a long time doesn't matter how many times I forget when I hear this song it comes back as if I was standing there right now
Just curious, why would you think a single person on the internet cares any at all about your age or your plans for the near future? I'm a 2024 year old messiah and I think this song is pure dog shit.
Man...I grew up in an abusive household, joined the Marined in 03, went to combat in Fallujah, lost my 11 year old son unexpectedly, went through two divorces, and I am still here. Music gets me by. So many people don't know my struggle but I refuse to quit for my wife and her two kids. Thank you for the music you make.
@@RyansReaper I was speaking more in regards to the woke bullshit and cancel culture getting their 15 mins of fame in the last few years. Tbh, I miss the 90's.
Donald Trump It is essentially watered down metal, there is no complexity, the musicianship is average, the vocalist is horrendous. If you think this is good 'metal' you need to reconsider your music taste.
Love this band, love this genre. Being an Army vet, I love their open and public support for veterans. Says a lot about their character, they way they honor those they may never have met. I
Lol and few days ago i was telling my younger brother who is also big fan how they have badass apparance but sound somewhat softer to me. I am starting to like them good texts but sound is kind of soft and bit empty if they fix this 2 things they will be crazy good. Not powerful enough guitar. But texts wow respect.
I have always been a diehard metal fan, ever since my dad introduced me to metal. One time when listening to a mix a song from ffdp came up. Ever since then, I've been in love with your music ❤️🤘
@@102938475657075 no problem ... I come from a family of veterans... And I respect those who lay down their life for this piece of dirt called America that I call home...

A cover band? Do you recon guy. They write there own shit and make old lame songs better. House of the rising sun and bad company are by far better since 5 figer made them relevant again.

Go to Megadeth or Metallica comment sections (especially the most viewed videos). Its the worst. Megadeth fans hate Metallica and say Megadeth is better and Metallica comment sections mostly say how they "sell out" with Black Album and how the first 4 Metallica albums are the ONLY GOOD MUSIC ON EARTH and how they went to shit with later albums (which are all great except St. Anger). If not, they bash Megadeth instead. The worst fans on Earth.
The drummer, Jeremy Spencer, with his wife and beautiful little girl, is absolutely heartwarming. It shows how times have changed in the music business, from before, to now. It is thought to be cool to have your wife and kids on tour with you. Love it.
I’m 62 and I love Blasting this in my shop from my sound system and singing along, the neighbors are a lot younger than me and just stop and stare🤭 Awsome
The perfect song in the times were living in! This band keeps getting better and better their music reverberates with me their energy is amazing. Thank you for supporting the veterans your the best.
I am one of the few 7th graders in my school that listens to heavy metal, and I don't look like I do either, I am a small shy girl what never talks about anything metal. But then when we can listen to music at school, I bust out my headphones and listen to FFDP. People look over at my computer and start to do one of three three things, laugh, ask about why I listen to it, or look away like they are disgusted. I have only met one person in my life that has the same interests in music as me, and though I won't reveal her name, she taught me that you should be proud of what you like, and even if others don't like that, don't let that stop you from liking what you like. This band has given me confidence to do so many new things, and meet so many new people. once you cross that boundary from being scared to show people who you really are, and excepting yourself for who you are, you will have so much more fun in life. so please take this as a sign that you are worth something, no matter who you are, or what you like, because there will always be someone with the same interests as you. you just might have to open your eyes and look around you
I remember being alone in school listening to Korn's new album Issues back in the year 2000 and I feeling the same. It took too long for me to meet people that liked the same music I do.
It took me a long time to realize that when I was in school. The best thing I can recommend is to just keep a watchout for the right group of people and become friends with them, dont change for someone else. Also High School is a new start, that's when I realized that i didnt care about what people thought about me or what I listen to. I just found a couple of groups who liked what I did and hung out with them.
I got to say the more I listen to 5fdp the more I enjoy ..just listen to the lyrics, there's great meaning behind them. got to give to this band they fully support our troops through tough times as many of them in there return home from deployment..noone but noone knows the affects of what war does to a human unless you have been through it...we might not agree with these wars but we need to support our men and women that sacrifice everything..so thank you all who are serving and have served this great nation of ours..five finger death punch thank you for rocking out..it takes our minds away from all societys bullshit that we have to deal with on a daily basis..God Bless our troops and metal heads keep on rockin.
I do not like other rock/metal bands, but Five Finger Death Punch really sets off that medium for me. They sing about things that actually matter. Wash It All Away, Remember Everything and Wrong Side of Heaven are my favourite ones as they tackle some really good issues while, at the same time, giving us awesome music. What about that drum and guitar solos in 2:12 of this video tho. That was fuckin badass.
Happy for you, but you can find very similar remedies in rehab, or self-help groups, basically anywhere people have found a deeper reason to join together and heal. Learning how control myself in Science based rehab was the most beautiful experience I have had in my life. (Almost like being born again). :-)
@@billb7823 I was a reason and logic Athiest for years. I’m happy where I am with Christ now. But thanks and I hope you’re happy brother. Just don’t leave that door shut.
You go boy sry you were born in the wrong generation. But there is one thing after all us 80s rockers are gone you can keep this music alive and going . gotta love it ty
Im 14 - my entire class hates TOOL, SOAD, 5FDP. i feel bad that they have such bad taste in music. we were born in the wrong generation, but hopefully metal comes back in a big way soon. spiral out brother :)
@@First.Take.Jake. agreed, i'm 19 and FFDP is probably my favorite band, slipknot and a few other are up there too. It's sad that people don't the meaning behind this type of music, i listen to newer stuff too like juice wrld but rock/metal is easily my favorite genre, sadly people from my generation and younger (idk if the next generation after gen z has a name yet lol) don't like rock at all even though it has the most meaning, i guess hearing loud noises hurt their ears too much so they can't stand it, idk
You're born in the best generation, you can hear all thoses amazing music's for free, and have all the informations about bands easily. The only thing you miss is seeing them physically in their prime.
Got to see you live in Vienna last weekend! Absolutely fell in love with your music, especially this song! I had an amazing time, thank you for your contribution to my first metal concert ❤ Racino Rocks
I'm 62 and a professor of music. I was so motivated and impressed by your video and your music! The messages in your songs are so important to today's world. I'm a new fan of yours! Much love to all of you!
