I'm a Five Guys fan but there's no way I can justify the price of their hot dogs. No way. The burgers, yes - but not a hot dog going for roughly $10.00.
Yep, down here in South Texas a hot dog runs you $8.50 a burger runs you $11.50 fries run you $2.50 so any form of combo onvo with a drink is good up at the base level. Going to be at least $16 or above
Gotta get hotdogs from a mom pop. 2-3 bucks for a hotdog.. I like Five Guys but they're robbing you. My buddy was a manager and I'd have him swipe his ID for free food.
Bro this is so refreshing to see! This is exactly how I feel about Five Guys and nothing even comes close! It is top top tier elite! What an experience.
Best fries period are Checkers/ Ralley’s! They ALWAYS hit, the seasoning is elite, price is right, AND you can get a giant bag at the grocery store and those hit the same. 10/10 for me!
You can ask them to toast the bun, but also part of the problem is they cook their patty’s medium which I like but they don’t rest them. They go from grill right to bun so the juices and steam create a soggy bun.
Bacon cheeseburger with mustard and extra grilled onions is my go to burger. There's just something about the mustard and grilled onions together that I love!
could always be a location issue, King may very well have access to an epic location. sadly, not everyone can be that lucky. so being the Devil's Advocate on that, to be fair.
$8 for a hot dog is insanity. “Five guys” gives you good value if you spend a lot or get larger items. But if you want a smaller portion is absolutely more expensive than other budget places. Tastes better than a lot of spots though.
I just had Five GUYS for the first time last week and man what a delicious burger! TOP NOTCH, I spend $27 on a Double Bacon Cheeseburger and a Bacon Cheeseburger. Yes it was pricey but man was it worth it! Yes $27 for two burgers here in Chicago!
On the app in Texas 1 burger and 1 regular fries is 18.92… basically 19 bucks for a burger and fries..come on dude… that’s wild.. it’s not the same as other burger places
You are absolutely right. The fries are incredible, and Five Guys makes the best burger I’ve ever had! The grilled cheese patty melt and the hot dogs are beyond belief! Five Guys is among the best food I’ve ever had.
By me it costs $22.50 for a five guys burger, little fry, and small drink. At that price I’m going to a real restaurant or buying a pound of beef with all the toppings and buns and making 4 servings of the same thing. The prices are just ridiculous and the convenience factor doesn’t justify going out to eat at all.
The majority of "real restaurants" don't have quality as good as 5 guys. That argument has never made any sense. 5 guys is restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting without having to deal with the longer wait, server, tipping, etc. And sure, you can make multiple burgers at home for cheaper, but you can use that same argument with any restaurant. We don't always have access to our kitchen, nor feel like always cooking. Cooking at home is always the better option when able.
@grontelp77 Of course there are restaurants with better food than a cheeseburger and fries, but when it comes to a "Basic cheeseburger and fries" most restaurants don't do it better. You can throw some fancy toppings and premium cheese on a brisket/short rib burger, but that doesn't mean it's better.
Damn I love Five Guys but it's been a minute. Always have to get cajun fries, sometimes I'll ask for just the seasoning on the side. Far as the burger, def have to get a cheeseburger or bacon cheeseburger. I always add little mayo, A1 sauce, Grilled Onions, Mushrooms, and Jalapenos. So top notch! Your prices is crazy good deal. Just a regular cheeseburger here in VA is like $11.50 a hot is like $7.50 a grilled cheese is like $6 and fries is $6. Your meal would be like $40 plus tax here.
the grilled cheese burger for $9 just bodies any other fast food chain burger. I always ask them if they can throw salt and pepper on the burger when they make it and it just elevates it
And they literally fry them just before they bag em for you to pick up. Even ordering online for a to-go order-they don't drop the fries until you show up for pickup. Alwasy fresh.
Hello . I'm fairly new to your RU-vid channel.👏🏾 Watching Five Guys is Elite . I totally agree that Five Guys is definitely top tier. Prices are high but what restaurants aren't . All the food is fresh. I agree that I've never had a messed up order. Staff is always on point . We only have one in my area (Absecon NJ. 15 minutes away from Atlantic City . Five Guys is AWESOME to me ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ In my book . Would give 5 stars but I believe nothing is Perfect but five guys damn near 😂. Luv your channel💪🏾💪🏾
I really am gonna have to start trying to add things to my burgers. I’ve always been a very picky eater and have recently found myself enjoying thingd I’ve never liked before.
I've been saying this forever. 5 guys is worth spending the extra cash over your typical Mcdonalds/BK meal. Sometimes, i just go there for the fries alone. Then I'll hear the argument, "Why not just make a better burger at home for cheaper?" Well, sometimes im out and about and need something convenient. I dont always have access to my kitchen, plus groceries aren't very cheap anymore.
I gotta say, its a little different in regards to nepotism when your talking about say the ownership of a team vs a player that might be on that team. A Nepobaby can inherit the team, make sure he has a good staff and step back and let the professionals do their work for the organization. Where as getting onto a NBA roster cause of who daddy is is completely different. You are now allotted a spot, taking one away from someone else, when it’s questionable if you can even do the bare minimum, bc your dad was good. There’s no getting a great hiring manager or director of player personnel. It’s just the player. And his skill level. Which isn’t high enough allegedly
I say five guys is expensive, but the classic double is over 14 dollars at my location. I still buy it though, because like you said it's the best burger in the game. i always get the jalapenos, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms too. going to try the A1 next time
My Mom wanted Culver's burgers and onion rings. Their Onion Rings are the best in FF that I have had, no cap. We talked about 5 Guys v Culver's. We both agreed that 5 Guys is better, but it is SO much more expensive than Culver's. Culver's is the "best bang for the buck" burger place, but yeah 5 Guys is the GOAT (in terms of FF chains.) Thanks for sharing!
@@bethsnyder8376 Yeah they are pretty good, but there isn't one close and Culver's is like a 5 minute drive, 5 Guys is like 15, Burger Fi is like a half hour at least.
Culvers is 12 bucks for a combo... So wtf is so much cheaper again??? Yes they have killer fish players and concreats. But the price is almost the same. You literally need to add 3 dollars more for a meal at Five. You all are.crazy
@@spazz954 Nobody is talking combo, I'm talking item to item. Here are prices at the Culver's and Five Guys closest to me. Culvers: Single with cheese $4.09 Double with cheese $6.39. 5 Guys: Single with cheese (aka little) $9.39 Double with cheese (just called cheese burger) $11.79. That's a $5 difference burger to burger. So if a combo (burger fries drink) at Culver's is $12 that is about the SAME cost as just a double cheese burger at 5 Guys. And no, a combo at 5 Guys isn't just $3 more. Fries at 5 Guys are $5.29 for little and $6.29 for regular. A drink is $2.99 for regular, $3.19 for large. So a single cheese burger, fries and drink at 5 Guys is almost $18.
It's a good burger but Shake Shack is clear imo. Five Guys is a bit soggy, and the Martin's Potato Roll at Shake Shack is the best possible bun. Shake Shack also lets the cheese shine a bit more than Five Guys where the cheese gets a bit lost in the sogginess
