Thank you for mentioning Captain Thomas Boyle. I think this is a fabulous "Baltimore" story that is not very well-known around town and little is written about this escapade (that I can find).

I remember playing on the cannons as a kid, as all kids from Highlandtown did, and I remember that one was different than the others but never knew why.

Thank you . I will read more about the battle at Patterson Park and I've been researching the North Point battle . And my fancy for the cow pens flag or the North Point flag or controversy of said flag
