FANF LORE:To understand the story of Five Nights at Freddy's, you need to forget that these are just games and take this saga for what it truly is. Terror? Yes, but above all, science fiction. Before we begin, I want to say that this chronology was made by three well-known Five Nights at Freddy's RU-vidrs and myself. Therefore, if you like the content of this game, please visit their channels. Now, let's start. What would happen if two friends opened a pizzeria? The first question to ask is this. Normally, everything would go reasonably well with some problems, but nothing more than that. The question changes completely if we ask, what would happen if Henry and William opened a pizzeria? Who are these characters? Initially, they were great friends. Henry was a fervent and talented mechanic who took care of his only daughter, Charlie. We know nothing about his wife or if he had anyone else in his family. And on the other hand, there was William Afton. The Afton family was composed of five members. William, a wealthy person with a good knack for mechanics. His younger daughter, Elizabeth. This kid we don't know the name of, but he cries all the time, so let's call him Crying Child. Michael Afton, his older son, and his wife, about whom nothing is known. These two characters combined their mechanical skills and, with the good capital William had saved, they opened a restaurant together. Thus, between 1980 and 1982, supposedly, Fredbear Family Diner opened its doors. The main attraction of this place was the animatronics. What are they? Well, basically, they were robots that could be controlled both autonomously and by people or souls. These animatronics were developed by the restaurant owners, but Henry stood out a bit more because he made a complex spring-lock system that allowed a person to use these suits. However, extreme caution was required, as otherwise, the mechanism could activate, and the person inside would likely get injured. These hybrid suits initially led to their main success, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie. Two animatronics that became very popular in the 80s, and these two friends were doing so well that competition started to arise. This is why, a few months after the launch of Fredbear Family Diner, a competitor, Fazbear Entertainment, arrived, although it wouldn't become relevant until later. Parallel to these events, tensions were brewing between the main duo, as William hadn't just opened the restaurant for food; he had much darker intentions: killing people. This is why, on an unknown date, William created a new location, Circus Baby Pizza World, where he would present his new animatronics, the Funtime animatronics. These animatronics were made under the company Afton Robotics, which, as you might guess, was William's company. Although the Funtime animatronics were not ordinary animatronics-despite having very innovative features compared to the first hybrid suits-they were specifically designed to kill. With highly advanced AI, the ability to open different parts of their bodies, and the capability to speak, these animatronics clearly didn't have good intentions. But things backfired for William when, on the very day of his location's opening, despite his warnings to Elizabeth, she still went into the room where the animatronics were to see if her favorite robot, Baby, was there. After the animatronic offered her an ice cream to lure her in, it killed her. Or, well, not quite. Meanwhile, remember that William thought all the children were already captured inside the animatronics since the opening of his location had been completely successful. So he alerts everyone to a gas leak to evacuate the place and check his reward. When William goes to see if his animatronics had captured children, yes, they had, as we know from the animatronic blueprints showing bodies inside them. But William also realized that his main animatronic had killed Elizabeth. Or rather, his daughter was taking control of Baby because the animatronic's eyes changed from blue to green, just like his daughter's. Naturally, upon learning all this, William didn't know what to do and decided to lock her up in Circus Baby Entertainment, a place located beneath Circus Baby. After the closure of Circus Baby and the uncertainty surrounding what happened to his younger daughter, these events began to affect William Afton, marking the start of his decline. After the failure of Circus Baby, he asked Henry for help and a job again. Despite all the problems he'd had with his former partner, Henry gave him a job as an administrator or mechanic, which is why he can be seen placing Fredbear's head on one of the employees at Fredbear Family Diner. During these months, supposedly in 1983, Henry created and announced other animatronics on television: Freddy, Foxy, Chica, and Bonnie. Naturally, William, seeing that more animatronics were created, grew more tense with his new boss. But what truly pushed William to a dark place was the death of his younger son, the Crying Child. Remember Mike, William's older son? Well, this character constantly scared Crying Child excessively, and while Mike tormented his only younger brother, William overprotected his younger son by installing cameras throughout the house and giving him a plush toy he had created to talk to him and make him feel comfortable. Despite William's psychopathic behavior, this was to monitor his younger son and ensure he didn't go to see the animatronics, which fascinated Crying Child. But William, having created the first two hybrid suits with Henry, knew what they could do and how harmful they were, hence the overprotective measures. Now let's delve into a theory between Five Nights at Freddy's 4 and The Twisted Ones, the first book. Supposedly, Five Nights at Freddy's 4 took place in Crying Child's nightmares, but that's not the case. The nightmares he sees are real and not just bad dreams, as they are part of his father's very sinister plan. In the novel The Twisted Ones, William creates a disc that makes people hallucinate with animatronics, exaggerating their form, size, etc. Something like the Scarecrow's spray in Batman that magnifies your fears. How does this relate to the game? The hallucinations, not Batman-Batman has nothing to do with this. Well, in Ultimate Custom Night, the Nightmare animatronics appear in the game, but here we control William, so it's impossible for William to know exactly what these animatronics look like if they are his son's nightmares. In other words, how can you know exactly someone else's nightmares? So, if we return to the first book, it introduces the concept that William created illusion discs to make people see things that weren't really there, which he used on Crying Child to make him stay away from the animatronics. This is why we never see him scolding his older son for bullying his little brother, because it traumatized Crying Child with the animatronics, something that benefited William. However, William's mistake was trusting Michael too much, as Michael didn't know where the limit of the prank was. He scared his brother purely for fun, and the problem erupted in 1983 at the place where it all began and ended, Fredbear Family Diner. Mike and his friends forcibly took Crying Child to the restaurant to keep tormenting him with the animatronics on his birthday. Continuing with the prank, they put him in Fredbear's mouth, pretending he would eat him, and unfortunately, it wasn't just pretend. As mentioned earlier, Henry's spring-lock system was sensitive, so when a child was put in the mouth, the suit snapped shut on Crying Child's head. After this, the little Afton fell into a coma where he saw all the animatronics he knew and the plush toy William had given him, where it seems his father is saying his final words to him, asking for forgiveness and saying two phrases that would spark many theories: "You're broken; I will put you back together." He said this because after Elizabeth's death, he knew that somehow animatronics could take a person's soul and adapt it to their body, or at least the soul and animatronic could coexist in one body. One curiosity about this part of the story is that in 1983, if we explore the Afton house, we find a room that seems to belong to a girl, and who was the only girl in the Afton family? Elizabeth Afton. Therefore, before 1983, William's daughter was already inside Baby's body. Due to the Bite of '83, the terrible reputation, and rumors that an animatronic had killed a child, people stopped going to Fredbear Family Diner. But Henry's problems were not limited to his restaurant; he had a bigger issue with William, who would surely blame him for his son's death. Remember, the spring-lock system was mainly Henry's creation. Additionally, William not only suffered incredible mental damage from the deaths of his two younger children but also began a plan of revenge and investigation into remnant. What is remnant? Remnant is a substance an animatronic excretes when burned once it has a soul inside. Remnant can be extracted from animatronics and placed in others. The only way to destroy a soul inside one of these robots is to destroy all the remnant. Even if a person's remnant is in three different animatronics, destroying just one won't free the soul from the other two. Hopefully, that makes sense. Henry's fear for his life and his daughter's was justified, so he created an animatronic specialized in protection, Puppet. But no matter how many animatronics there are, if it's locked in a gift box, it won't be useful. One day between 1983 and 1985, William took the opportunity to avenge his former friend and,

I feel bad for both the crying child and Michael, the crying child didn't die on impact, and died later in the hospital, and Michael just had to watch, knowing that he did this. Fnaf lore gets very dark at times, and also the cries were terrifying.

As someone who has a younger brother, and have heard him cry whenever he gets hurt whenever he trips on something or gets hurt by something, this legit broke my heart when I heard the terrifying and agonizing screams of pain this kid made. FNaF's story is seriously fucked up sometimes, and I really hope they do justice to it in the movie.
