I like how people legitimately believe that the box can open let alone is supposed to open. Its a metaphor. Knowing Scott's previous games in general. Its a symbolization of the lore. The mystery. Sometimes a big reveal is best kept hidden away. This is WHAT makes the lore of FNAF so big. Think of it like this. If Scott gave away big numbers, doesn't the mystery and theories just crumble away? Then the lore would be nearly dead. With this, the lore keeps going. Its like other horror titles with symbolisms and lore. Silent Hill is a great example. If Silent Hill was 100% stated that ALL characters are just going insane period, doesn't the ideas of the continuation of the lore and community sound boring? Why do you think there are so many theories and not really any word of Scott 100% confirming their theories? Sure there are some answers that sort of subtle, but not everything is clear. Like IS Purple Guy THE killer? Its not official. WERE there only so and so number of kids killed? IF that wasn't the bite of 87, then what was it? See? Theories, lores, and inventive and creative stories and original ideas can continue without making the game so lacking and uninteresting in the end. That is what makes this game's plot interesting to me. Its basically an open-ended plot. Its like an open world video game in a way. You can do anything with it and it won't be necessary canon because other than what is presented in the game, there is no linear plot. And I like that. Scott really does a great job of pulling a "reader" or "player" into the story.

The box will never open, because Scott is a troll. He was making it up as he went along (re: giant gaping plot holes and inconsistencies). He wants you to think he's some sort of genius (he's not) and he basically was doing as the writers of Lost did. He wrote his post more or less as an escape hatch to cover his exit and blueball his fanboys with "well I had it all wrapped up guys, but decided it's best if you decided for yourself! LULZ"

this is still a secret, but i do have a theory for whats actually inside. you see the box on night seven, after plushy fredbear, i guess, tries to "put you back together" which is on night 6. night 5 is when the incident happens, so what if they are trying to forget the masks they used when they were being an ass hole to the kid, and put them in the box, the masks. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM
