I originally beat this March 29, but in what's becoming a common trend, my goddamn recording didn't save because my PC randomly decided to half it's remaining storage. This mode sucks ass, the thumbnail is no exaggeration, a lot of my failed attempts had me yelling at my monitor. Every room has some stupid RNG but at least most are manageable, that is until hallway appears, I cannot figure out a consistent way to do it other than being fast and hoping for the best, even worse is it takes about 40 minutes just to get there. If you manage to get lucky enough to get past hallway you'll then have to deal with living room 3 which has also some stupid RNG too, I died at 4:55 because Waluigi decided to speedrun coming in and ended up coming in 5 whole seconds too early. This took me about 9 hours in total with my first completion coming after about 7, in my first attempt I somehow made it to laundry, and then in my rebeat I died to hallway twice in a row. If you plan to do this, practice hallway, cellar, and any other room you struggle with because you really want to minimize as much RNG as possible.
I guess some tips for each room:
1. Living Room 1: It's a fucking cutscene, if you're lucky enough you can win by doing absolutely nothing.
2. Bathroom: Only take a short sight pill for a character if the other character isn't close.
3. Kitchen: When one is in their last camera and you hear a creak, check to make sure they didn't backtrack before adding fuel.
4. Living Room 2: Always keep an eye on Waluigi, it'll slow him down a bit. When recharging the light, charge it about 1/3 of the way before putting the camera down to check for Wario, when he's there look away for 5-6 seconds. There's a small chance Waluigi will attack while Wario's there, if this happens Wario will instantly leave but there's no way to know so if you see Waluigi in the hallway camera and Wario shows up, hit the light, if Waluigi didn't move into the room, quickly recharge the light and search for him in case he attacked while you were distracted.
5. Bedroom 1: Super RNG. Keep an eye on Luigi no matter where he is, it'll slow him down a bit. Never check the laundry camera since there's a high chance Waluigi will do a scare and jump to the hallway camera causing him to attack faster, in a night where you want to minimize the number of attacks you really want to avoid this.
6. Staircase: Break time. Don't check for Wario unless the camera is fully charged. Only uncover your eyes when you hear Ashley's footsteps (they sound different from every other character's footsteps), sometimes you'll hear footsteps as soon as you cover your eyes, personally I don't trust that so I’ll wait until I hear a second set of footsteps, usually doesn't take long.
7. Bedroom 2: Back to the RNG. For some insane reason Wario has a chance to move forward even if you've tapped the camera he's on a bunch of times, so if you don't see him in the kitchen for awhile, it's a safe idea to check living room 2 and hallway just in case.
8. Hallway: The worst one. You have to be fast, you can't afford to be in the cameras too long because you can't wait too long for them to recharge. Always start the night closing one of the doors, I always did Waluigi since he was the biggest pain in practice runs. If one character just attacked, you won't have to check their camera for a bit.
9. Playroom: Another break. Always be mindful of the camera battery, you can't let it die because of how fast Mario is.
10. Laundry: Always keep the machine on. Like kitchen, always check if a character backtracked first before dealing with them. Do their respective actions for 8 seconds since if you're on the camera or haven't started the required action then they'll give you another chance, but at the cost of them taking twice as long to leave, so do it for 8 seconds to be safe.
11. Living Room 3: The second worst one. For some reason, Yoshi has a shorter kill timer here at 25 seconds compared to Waluigi's 35 seconds, because of this I would always keep the staircase light off to stop Yoshi since you just have to stall Waluigi for 15 seconds before you're safe for the hour.
12. Cellar: RNG isn't a problem but nerves are, practice this room before attempting this mode to compensate. Wario and Luigi don't care if you use the pad in this room so you can use it as much as you want. Keep to one side and only move when that side's character shows up.
