I watched this twice it was so good! I know it's an older video but it didn't matter. Solid tips I can't wait to try. Thank you so much. 💓 Habit tracker was my favorite.
These are always brilliant. Especially the sticky notes and master list. I got a new planner this year in a style I'm not used to so this is so helpful!
It's like the gift that keeps giving.... 5 years later and it's still helping! I just found this video for the first time and am SOOO grateful for it! I had no clue it was even 5 years old till after I watched it lol. It really is the most helpful video I've seen so far ! 🙏🥰
I loved this video! Thanks for this. I’ve been searching hacks like these and everyone is just writing stuff in their planners and all their planners are very complex planners. Finally someone had a video with generic planners and giving tips on how to actually use it!!
Hi Alexis. The master monthly task list. You know, not like I've not heard you talk about this before but for some reason, tonight the idea clicked LOL. Thanks for being here! Happy Planning!
Thanks for sharing the planner hacks .. omg I love the meal planning, I have to add this to my planner. I also love to read so I will also incorporate a page for reading books tracker. Thanks again.
Thanks miss trench this very helpful get started on planning daily, weekly, monthly how stay organized in my life how u broke it down into sections won’t be so, over whelming thank for this video
I LOOOVVVEEE the Day Designer Planner/Notes Planner at Target! Designed by Whitney English, it' the BEST!!!! It has helped me SO much! 64 pages of notes, along with the planner, it's awesome!!!! "DAY DESIGNER PLANNER/NOTES!" I don't even bother with the others!
And just another way to implement these ideas: you can easily add extra, moveable pages to a spiral planner with just a piece of paper, a single hole puncher, and scissors. There are RU-vid video tutorials on exactly that - it’s super easy. It essentially works like a discbound planner would, where you can lift pages out and move them around. Very handy. 😊
Lovely. The monthly and weekly goals/priority lists are super important. I need to incorporate those asap so I get more things done. ❤️ Thanks for posting!
Yessss. This is awesome.. I’ve just got back into planning after having a break.. I started by grabbing a notebook and combined everything I need.. after figuring out all I want I’ve gone ahead and ordered a EC planner ready to do just as you suggested tweak it to include everything I need.. two minds think alike lol

This was very helpful. As I struggle to use a planner, this adds to the value of a need to look at it daily which is my problem. I also share your battle with migraines and I wanted to let you know I started the monthly shots that were just released. While they don't eliminate the migraines, they do seem to cut the frequency. I have had no side effects. Thanks for these useful hacks and I look forward to more! :)

Thank you so much for creating this video. I have so many planners that I have removed the pages I don't use and I end up throwing unused pages away. Now, from what I have learned from you is t those pages can be recycled for other purposes.

This was AMAZING Alexis! I'm only 6 minutes in but I just had to comment and say thank you for putting the time into this. I use a discbound system now, but used to use the Blue Sky ones for years, but didn't really know how to make them work for me. I will definitely be implementing this in my current planning system!
Hi have just watched your how to make dividers video it was awesome. I have been trying to make them for about a week now and was getting very frustrated. Now I’m a happy bunny. Thank you so much.
Girl I just got a planner and I was sitting here having no idea how to make it work for me. Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to put together this concise and clear video to walk me through what to do with this new thing called a planner!
Just curious - since you are doing planner hacks - any inclination on going digital? You are quite IT savvy so I am just curious that your preference is towards paper planning rather than digital planner (with say iPad Pro and digital spread). Would love to hear your thoughts as I struggle btw paper and digital back and forth. Both have their merits and that made me really indecisive. Perhaps another video topic for you?
Aloha Hawaii_ no plans whatsoever to switch to digital planning outside of how I already use my phone to supplement on the go notes and alerts, which I have shown in other videos.
I loved all of these hacks. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the weekly goals on the monthly page. I never thought of doing that but it's a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
I. LOVE. THIS. I have a happy planner but my ADHD has me so distracted with the stickers etc. Now I know what to do with this space. I am definitely going to hack my planner and make this work.
Love all your videos already!!! New to the planner world and learning a lot from your videos....thanks a lot!! By the way I'm in love with your eyeglasses, would you mind telling me which one are so I can look for them?? I will appreciate it 😉
Hey veronica, they look like the Celine sunglasses, but there are very similar ones you can buy from Ebay for under $10, just type in the ebay search box 'Flat top sunglasses' and you should find them there :-) hope that helped
It's when I see cos vlogs like this that I really, really wish I lived in the USA! ! Thanks for this, especially the meal planning and habit tracking xx
@@MissTrenchcoat East Yorkshire in the UK. I've been an avid fan of yours since about 2015. I'm a devoted franklin covey user, but I like to see other planners and how people use them. Xx
@@itsacarolbthing5221 Ha ha I know exactly what you mean! I'm from Lancashire and really wish we had the choice of planners that there is in the US. I've just got my first kikki k, but have used Happy Planners for the last few years.
I'm curious why you wouldn't put your weekly prioritized list on the week;y pages instead of the monthly page? I'm much more likely to pay attention to something if its right in front of me!
Carole Carlson I do but I also like to allocate tasks across the weeks of my month- this gives me the ability to see my priorities week over week and in a way gives me a sense of confidence that my projects are moving forward. It also helps me allocate so I ensure I am able to prioritize specific high priority tasks to get everything done over the course of the month. I hope that makes sense!
This is awesome. I particularly like the project tracker & the iconic habit tracker. Will definitely try using it in my journal. After watching your other videos & having used your toolbox kit, I have already started using your monthly master task list & weekly priorities hacks in my current journal. Thanks a ton for the inspiration.
Courtney Nelles I will usually set these at the start of the month to allocate when I will be working on key tasks. I do also reevaluate them at the start of the week as well, but the point is just to give yourself the time to map out when your key tasks will get done so you are almost preplanning the flow of your work. For me this also helps me see if I’ve put too much on my plate in a month because I know how much I can reasonably get done in a week and if everything doesn’t fit I need to adjust my expectations.
Brilliant hacks. Using the monthly index tab for my Monthly goals is a perfect use of that space. I am a new subscriber. Looking forward to more planning videos. ✍🏼
As of this day with credit to watching your videos I was able to secure gainful employment for two years which is a much but now have set up a nest egg financially begin a plan for furthering my education after setting out to obtain verification which isn't but it's a start valid as of this date 8-5-2020 after two years in the making I guess it did work thanks
I love those ideas, I update my agenda directly what you have adviced! Thank you! May be ı can also add one more weekly list ( like meal list) what to wear. It is too streesy for mornings :)
I watch your videos and I am subscribed...and I’ve used quite a few of your tips and I love your videos!! Just wanted you to know that up front. LOL But two things really are starting to get under my skin. I have been subscribing since you used to call us your “strange and charmed ones”....then you switched to “my charmed ones” which was much nicer. But I’m not digging that we are “your” charmed ones....it almost sounds like “hello my little pets” or your “little pretties” like some kind of witch or something. Like we are “yours” and below you. Then there’s the Miss Trenchcoat thing....what on earth does that have to do with planning or productivity tools? And you’re known all over the internet as this? When I first heard it I was thinking you were a flasher or something. Maybe sometime you should give the story behind that name cuz it’s weird. Sorry to be so blunt but this was driving me nuts and I wanted to put it out there in case you’re open to feedback. If not keep doing what you’re doing - I love your videos and tips and I’ve been watching for a long time!
MsAmyrock Hi Amy! I’m so happy to hear that my tips and videos have been helpful to you- that’s first and foremost the most important thing that you get value from my content. I’ve explained in the past that MissTrenchcoat was an old gamer handle I used that has just stuck with me- I’ve been on the net for quite a while. I realize it doesn’t make sense but everyone including family call me that! As for calling you ‘my’ Charmed ones, I think you might be reading into the word a bit much. You are friends, subscribers and the community of mine so I guess there is an informal possessive factor to that but it’s meant as a form of familiarity more than anything. Hope that all makes sense!
