I love Jacksonville, Florida❤ I have lived here for 5 years and Jacksonville keeps getting better and better. After living in multiple areas in Jax I have figured it out. Like most large cities there are good areas and bad areas. Jax is a huge massive city land wise. I would say 40% of Jax is low income high, crime, and neglected "Bad" areas. These are near downtown on the Westside, Downtown on the eastside north of stadium, alot of east arlington, near St Nicholas... These areas are lower income or economically disadvantaged. Generally speaking the majority of the entire west side of jacksonville is lower income or lower middle class. Where is the best places to live then? If your family is making near or over 6 figures you would enjoy buying in a middle to upper middle class area you should consider Bartram, Communities in St Johns County, Mandarin, The Beaches Jax Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, Ponte vedra Beach, Generally anything East of 295 beltway toward the beach.
@@ethanmorris2760 There's no comparison. Florida is so beautiful and the amount of things to do and see is staggering. We live 40 minutes from the beach and being able to go down to the ocean whenever we feel like is incredible. There isn't much to KC lol. I lived there my entire life, so getting the opportunity to move to the sunshine state is an absolute blessing. I do miss KC BBQ, though.
Good to hear, born and raised in KC, been trying to break free from this place since birth. I hate it here. Literally joined the Navy to get out and landed back here cuz Cali to expensive. 😒 soon Jax…Soon😂
The greatest thing about Florida is that there is no state income tax - meaning I keep more of the money I work for in my pockets. If I live in Jax and never drive to Orlando, I don't pay for Orlando's roads with my money. If I decide to drive there it's a "use it, pay for it" system. Us locals love that fact! Also, I-95 and I-4 have zero tolls - you don't have to take a toll road to get to Orlando.
Crime? No way, Jax is a great city. Keep in mind there are always going to be haters in the comments. Jacksonville is America's largest city by land mass, it encompasses all of Duval county - there are tons of great locations inside our amazing city. A place that is right for everyone.
@@NateRiggsOfficial America's largest city?? Wow, did not know that. How is public transportation? I heard Brightline might extend their service up to Jacksonville in the future. Is that true??
Stay out of certain neighborhoods the crime is high. Beware when your realtor says this is a good pocket. A lot of this city has social issues. I been here a year and a half, I can’t wait to get out of here. Not a lot to do the amount of house you get for your buck isn’t worth it. Tampa is a way better option, higher cost of living. More diverse setting much more to do.
