Yes I totally agree with what he says. I remember one such experience. It was not holiday but business meet at Taj in Mumbai. My company had invited Chairman of a leading pharma company for lunch . Since my MD, CGM and others were involved from other side also there were 3 persons. We had a reservation, seeing the number Taj people upgraded us without cost to a more luxury and exclusive they had in their hotel where only we were there. It was a round table of 10 to 12 people. Behind each of us were a line of its three persons waiting to serve us. I will tell my embrassment. As we settled, waiters took over. He asked me what will I have for drink. Now my menu memory does go beyond Fresh Lime. I told him that. I thought he will go away but he inquired will it be sweet or salty, I gave my choice thinking he would go away but he came up with another question, will it be chilled or normal cold or room temperature ? Having got rid of him , I was confronted with next one. Then the next I don't remember. But only two more I remember. One for main course. He came and gave me the menu and prompted me to choose. I had no idea what to choose? I kept quite......... he prompted me ( having guessed my background) Sir " Thali bhi hai" . I was relieved beyond anybody's guess. I was the only one who took thali in Taj, Mumbai and that too in exclusive guest corner. For sweets it was taken for granted and was served Gulab Jamun.

Amit's presentation of the ordinary every day situations is spot on....witty.
