You can actually press and hold the homelink icon and drag it over on the left section of the menu replacing either icon (phone, nav or phone etc) to have it statically on the menu. i replaced the phone icon with the homelink since which works extremely well as i've never used that icon and would use voice commands anyway to place a call, seemed like the best trade-off
With technology comes annoying real world user experiences but the nerds in charge of development insist we must hve it kinda in preparation for the ev mania/cs
Homelink should be bound to GPS, no idea why this isn't the case with your car. When I start my 4S (PCM v5, yours is v6) the homelink screen for the garage door automatically comes on because the car knows where it is (no GPS coverage however in the underground garage, no idea how it actually knows) and let's me trigger the signal.
See the diamond button on your steering wheel, just above the "next track" button? I'm pretty sure you can program that to be your homelink button. I don't have that button (GT3 RS) but I've read on Rennlist that you can do this if you have the button.
What an excellent video! With your back would you be able to take the road trip to Carmel Valley or are the Rivian seats better suited to your needs? Would you buy a Rivian Roadster to replace your Porsche? I think that I know the answer that I would give - No F Way!
I don’t really see the point of an electric sports car. Much of the thrill of a GT car is the sound and feel of the engine and if you take that away I think it kills it. I do have deposit on the Tesla Roadster 2 but that car will never come out so I am likely to get a refund this year. 4 years ago when it was announce it was pretty amazing, but today it just seems meh.
hey man what do you do for living? im 17 and i've already got some business experience, for the most part i have a bunch of failure but I do have some big wins (10k months). I want to get this car sometime in the future but right now i'm kind of struggling which is expected but yeah if you ever see this comment please let me know!
Hi @jacobjoshy6435. Thanks for watching the video and your comment. I've been asked this questions before and my answer always gets downvoted. I think the question itself is flawed honestly. But before I tell you why, I will answer your question factually. I am a software entrepreneur. Now I will tell you why, and I think will be a lot more helpful if you dream of someday affording a car that most people can't. Do what you love. It doesn't matter what it is. You can become a multi-millionaire selling boats, cars, houses, toys, software, windows, ice cream ... But if you don't love doing it, when it gets hard (and it will) you will quit and go do something else. But if you love what you do, and you set your goals always out of reach, then you will absolutely kill it. Also, failure is the real key to success. I am glad to hear that you have had some failures. Success is a miserable teacher. But failure can really leave a lasting lesson. I'm still failing at 90% of everything I try. It's that 10% that has led to me being able to drive my dream car. Thanks again for the sub!
Thank you man, when I was in my Junior year of highschool and I lost a majority of my business income but I started it back up again and I'm still working to reach new highs in my business and improve the customer experience. Thanks again for the answer! @@AverageCarGuy
I also wish when in reverse the side mirrors tilted down like other models. Thats great for seeing curbs esp on the wider 992 model! Every other Porsche I’ve had does this! Appreciated your answer to the comment above “what do you do for a living?” Thats a small step from “how’d you get your money” and I find to be very tacky.
Now that’s what I call constructive criticism. 😂 made me lol genuinely. When you get above 400HP, manual gearbox becomes such a huge bottleneck to performance that I just can’t look past it. Up to about 350HP I’m always on team 6-speed.
About the service reminder - Maybe just bring the car to Porsche and have it serviced by them instead? I know doing your service by yourself is nice, but sometimes on car at this level, in my opinion, it’s best to have them do it and log it into the car system instead. Fuel reminder - Having anh car low on fuel is NOT good AT ALL! I never let my car go below 20% fuel.
Great! I love reviews like this, no fancy flower talks, no BS, all straight to the point. Making it simple is the best way to impress practical people.
