It has nothing to do with the child. She could not have done it if the parent had not encouraged and facilitated it. Her father put her in that situation. Try thinking WHY people in the food and drink industry have to have a licence! It is about Health and Safety.... if the parent didn't understand licensing laws what are the chances he has knowledge of legal standards for safe drink production?
Its a 5 year old child selling lemonade, not everything needs state control, Common sense would surely prevail. We need more young people being entrepreneurial rather than pointless beurocrats. @pamelsims2068
If she had sold the lemonade for small-value silver coins, they never could've touched her. It's only because she's using their debt money in their commercial system without a business license.
Sorry...... the five year old girl did not do this on her own..... the adult encouraging her did.... They initiated an action to sell food and drink without a licence. ...... no one expects the little girl to know...... Daddy was an irresponsible idiot who is now passing the Buck onto the officials. It is like a parent buying an electric scooter for their eight year old son who takes it out on the local streets and the police stop him and confiscate the scooter. IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE POLICE? IGNORANCE IS NOT AN EXCUSE! Quite frankly Piers and Suzanna are slating the officials and letting the irresponsible , Buck-passing parent off the hook. Ridiculous!
