I can unequivocally say that I have always picked up some new or old way of doing a project from your videos. Especially working with resin. Also, I like how you deal with some simple project that turns into a problem. THINK ABOUT IT.

Sorry, Electric sheet metal tools would have made your life easier. There is a tool which looks like the wringer on an old washing machine that would have helped your hammered copper. Sunlight UV curing works really well and fast on a "nice" day as long as you get uniform exposure. Works for UV cure hard finishes too. This is the last comment, I hope I don't sound annoying ...

Insomnia is not a problem anymore, but when it was, I picked up a habit of putting on something to listen to, so dark thoughts wouldn't overwhelm me. The voiceover in your videos keeps the loud sounds of the tools down and makes them calming. I've seen (or listened to) most of your videos and woke up to the end of this one today. Had to start it over to fully enjoy it. Thank You...

Which tbh I'd say take it as a compliment to those who find that you make videos that are good enough to help people fall asleep, as it's still beneficial to the human mind to learn right before going to bed. On top of that you're content is extremely interesting and inspiring even for a simple desk! Keep up the good work!

Also think of adding glue to both sides like adding resin to wood. Wood absorbs a lot of stuff in it, and the bond between the glue and wood is determined by the absorbed amount of glue, more glue absorbed will mean better adhesion and strength. So applying to both sides is optimal, however you need the added pressure of the clamps to ensure there's not any pockets of air that can weaken the glue, so it also will depend on how much glue you use as too much is just a waste. It's a balance between glue amount, pressure, and time to make a good bond.

Insomnia is under-appreciated ;) I thoroughly enjoyed watching these over again. My original reason for falling into the RU-vid rabbit hole was woodturning videos. I was enthralled and wanted to make anything turned wood to the point I was trying to figure out how to make it work on my apartment porch. My daughter kept reminding me that I have a degenerative nerve problem and it would be highly dangerous. Plus, woodturning is an expensive hobby even if you buy second hand. While I was bouncing around woodturning videos, I was also getting suggestions in my feed for woodWORKING videos. That's how I stumbled across your channel. Yes, your voice is relaxing but your work is intriguing and your commentary is hilarious. Thank you for putting together these videos that are informative, entertaining, AND relaxing. Hope you have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to next year's offerings.

I first off want to say thank you for long videos. I stay up late doing my college homework. I love getting to listen and watch in t breaks. My boyfriends that goes to bed early has to have the tv playing to fall asleep. I had workshop in my small town high school. While i watch your videos, i can reminded about all the projects and things i made in school. The teacher we had gave more skilled projects kids that were in the shop classes longer. So a fun memory I have making a scrap wood cutting board, the guy next to me was building a dog house. He furnished the roof and siding and then crawled inside and fell alseep. our teacher was not happy.

CAM A sub from a couple months ago. Im not a wood worker. Love your channel. Great dialog. Great humor. I like videos that do a great job explaining what's going on. And you nail it. Especialy when the worker or craftsmen are elite at what they do, and the level of care they take on evey minute detail. I watch this luthier "twoodfrd" for this same reason. I watch all your channels to the end they are that good. I rarely comment though. I found your channel by just letting videos play. I don't know anything about doing what you do. But I have always wished that I had the skills and knowledge. I took a woodworking class class in high school and some years later a carpentry class in community college. But I didn't fare well. I did however learn more than I started out with. I could use the tools well but the the skills to just know how to do the making and building on my own was not, (if that make sense.) But I the classes help me learn how math works with doing stuff like this. I watch a lot of how inventors create things and seeing how to build stuff I learn better. I have subscribed to your channel because this stuff is so educational.

I'm a little lazy. I felt a need to comment about people saying your not a real wood worker and you can put them to sleep. These are both very big complements. No1. Your audio and narration is awesome and kind of comforting like the movie Shaw shank redemption, I can throw that on and fall asleep in minutes. No 2. maybe your not a wood worker in some eyes. In my eyes you are an artist, teacher, and one hell of a woodworker. Don't listen to those people they are still using an axe to cut down a tree.

I've recently been having huge problems falling asleep. This video, your peaceful voice helps to fall asleep in 15-30 min. That is a good thing. Your videos are interesting and I watch every video from the start till the end. I would love to spend hours in your shop.

Insomnia is something I struggle with, because my work schedule leaves me having to flip my days and nights back and forth all the time. BUT! I did sit through all of this, and it was very soothing. Your voice has a quality that my anxiety responds very well to. As for what I would like to see... honestly, whatever you are doing, I will watch. Sometimes, I am really intrigued by the project, but even if I'm not, I watch to see if you are going to get into some spot where it just isn't working. I guess I like watching other people ride the struggle bus. Makes me feel like I'm not as much of a freak as I think I am. LOL Thank you for the videos, thank you for the honesty when you make mistakes. Perfect people are boring. :)

Cam! I absolutely put this video on to fall asleep. Now it’s 2:33 am, but I’m feeling inspired to get my shop together and get woodworking.

Only a small nap, and I did go back to watch the part I slept through.

Yes, keep all scraps. Several times I’ve challenged myself to build something with nothing but what I have on hand, no exceptions. Zero trips to the store or borrowing from friends and it’s all come out great as I build something I wouldn’t have done otherwise. Make something great with zero $$. It’s fun.
