@@jordankelley9181 tbh Chicago started the drill wave and fell off a long time ago. They get respect for starting it, but be real about the movement in music. I can show you artists from NY, Brazil, UK, Australia, and more who are putting out heat for drill music. Chicago got the OG status in the music, but they got to put on with the sound now to really get that recognition still. I can argue Chicago done adopted more of a trap music sound over the years 💯
@@jordankelley9181they inspired them guys and NY took the torch & kept it going they always pay homage & show love to the raq , one of if the biggest drill artist on the east coast is named Dthang & thts durk brother name they said plenty of times the wave tht was birthed in Chicago was the inspiration to the movement over east they didn’t steal it ..
@anthonycruz1064 He must mean a old head rap because outside not even. When I think of old-school I think of a nigga that's already 50 years old not nobody in their 30s.
He did spit not one lyric he’s just rapping it’s a difference between metaphor lyrical and punchlines he doesn’t have either so where you getting lyrical from 😂
Probably for New York but even that's a stretch, you got pop smoke, kay flock,Blove. Then outside of New York, you got chief,Herb,Durk,Von. He is not even in the top 20 best drill rappers out. His flow isn't unique, he sounds like every other New York Artist. He's not bad but top 3 is Def dragging it
@@LarryBoyd-h9m1. pop $moke was the king for us in NY but he’s no longer wit us (RIP POP 4L) $econdly , Kay flock & Blovee not even a better rapper than Fivi , fivi’s range over the yrs has grown and he’s made way more bangers than Kay Flock and Blovee put together , they don’t even have a song better than “13 going on 30” and fivi drop that yrs ago & you mentioning them Chicago niggas Chief literally not the same Keef we knew in high school not like that cause I looked up to Keef but he not a factor in drill nomore , Von dead and Herbo been felll off (in my opinion) them Kill Shit , Ain’t Heard Abt You , Lz , tracks like those Days is over but herb still my dawg & if you not from NY you can’t say who is or not Top 3 .. Fivi is our Number 1 actually
@@acemakaveli5598 You got a point, I'm not from New York but I do know that a lot of NY artists got their style off of the original drill. Which is Chicago, Chicago pioneered the entire drill scene of the US. Back in 2012-2013 I bet most of not all of the big NY drill artists was growing up listening to the same people you said fell off. By NY artists I mean the Gen Z ones. It's all subjective and opinion based , your speaking off of your own opinion and just Bec Fivi might have more views then the next NY artist doesn't mean he is better. I understand you are a fan of him but don't disrespect the ones who started the lane that he is currently in. Mind you that Fivi was in his early 20's in the early 2010's. He is 30+ now. He chose to jump on the wave while he was already grown. This man is in his 30's still acting like a drill rapper. That's not unique nor does it make him the best drill rapper.
Fivi been dat nigga u gotta give credit we’re do dude has went toe to toe with the greats and matched or surpassed and his development don’t stop neither this that real raw emotion channeled into greatness 🔥💰💯💯
Year after year song after song he really gets better . It’s dope to watch an artist develop like this . I still say the same about Jim jones too lol they get better with each song
