In this video, I'll be showing you how to free up a stuck button on your phone or tablet. By "stuck button," I mean the kind of malfunction that happens when dirt and grime accumulate around a button's housing, leaving you with a button that no longer gives you that "clicky" feeling, making it difficult to press.
Materials needed for this method are isopropyl alcohol, a Q-tip or two, and some canned air.

i had a stuck volume button on my iPad Air 2, just did this with a q-tip with plain old water instead of rubbing alcohol and it unstuck it just fine. just make you dry it after. and that the q tip is damp and no sopping wet.

Helpful tip for those who don't have rubbing alcohol : Just use a tiny drop of hand sanitiser and let that break down the build up or saturate a Q tip with perfume and clean as he did in the video. I did both and it genuinely worked.

Using hand sanitizer is a really bad idea! Hand sanitizer is usually made out of ethanol and vegetable gel. After the alcohol evaporates the gel is left behind and may gum the button up more than before.

Omg this method worked so well! One of my volume buttons was so stuck that I couldn't push it at all. I was out of rubbing alcohol so I used an alcohol swab and rubbed it on my volume button. It started clicking perfectly within seconds!! Round of applause for this guy because I was having issues with it for months before I found this video!! I didn't even need the canned air!

I watched your video a few days ago. My galaxy s8 olus button didn't have that clicky feeling and especially when turning the volume down it would stick when i took my finger off and the volume would keep going down. I thought your method wouldn't work, but finally gave in and tried it. It works perfect now and has the clicky feeling. THANKS!

Omg it works! My button was kinda sticky and not pushing down as well. Thought it was my phone case! I was using disinfecting wipes on my phone, turns out it made the button harder to press. I will always use isopropyl alcohol from now on. Also used canned air. My button actually clicks! Problem solved! You deserve an award!

Holy smokes. I had already sent messages to repair shops trying to figure out how much it'd cost to fix the buttons on my old phone. I'd seen videos of people telling me I'd have to take the phone apart if I wanted it to work again. Then I saw this video and thought "no WAY it's that simple". And yes. It is THAT simple. I had my volume down button sticky on my s7 edge after i merged it in salt water, i watched this video and i tried it i didn't thought it would really work !! But now its like new ! April 2022, and it worked... My problem was: the button was being pressed ALL THE TIME, so my phone was rebooting almost in loop. But it worked, I also used a needle to do the process. Hopefully it'll stay alright.

Thank you so so much that your guiding helped me to solve my stuck button problem. It had been happened just 3 days ago. It was worrying and annoying that the push button got stucked. I have to open the back case ,take out the battery ,put it back again without closing the back case. Then it works. Once finished the search, power saving mode close automatically. To restart,have to repeat the same act again. Prepare to send to repair shop, over here the cost are exorbitantly expensive, worry also the data will be missing or stolen or lost. Thanks! it worked. It took about 5 minutes for the Down Volume button of the Samsung Tablet S2 to come out, it was really stuck at the same level of the tablet's case. I pressed down hard the button during and after I was cleaning, even if it wasn't moving at all. I had no Alcohol so I used Havana Club Dry 7 years Old, now it seems that the people in the videos are kind of slow :)

Actually throwing a phone in rice does nothing to get moisture out of a phone. That's a myth when water gets inside your phone or debris you literally have to clean it guys. It need to be taken apart and cleaned if there's water in it rice does nothing

It worked for me for any Samsung phone who doesn't have a Power button or broken or damaged Step 1 - Press both volume up & down key together Step 2 - Connect the phone to the laptop Step 3 - A blue screen will appear mentioning about whether to customize OS, and you have 2 options (Up - Volume to continue) and (Down Volume for Cancelling and restart the device) Step 4 - (VERY QUICKLY) without wasting a second as soon as the blue screen appears release both the button and only press the down volume button, 100% it will on the phone. Thanks !!
