To everyone saying that dropbox is he problem: what if I don't have it installed?

i also uninstalled Dropbox and my Start menu returned. why does the Windows site say they haven't solved this problem yet? i wonder if anyone has let Dropbox know. i'm on my way there. so glad i read comments before messing with the powershell. but thanx for your video!

Useless because: 1 When I click on task manager I get a box with 'Google 32 bit" ,not what is on your screen. 2 Later on you say "paste in the command" .but where did you copy it from?

unfortunately all the suggestions don't work for me. 2 days ago I spent 3 hours on the phone with a Microsoft tech. after serveral attempts he finally got the task bar to work...(removing several programs in the process) Now just 2 days later same problem critical error etc etc etc as shown in the video. I have tried your suggestions and they don't work. Thanks for your video...your calming voice helped reduce damage in my house...

Copy of the code is on his forum in the description... he cannot copy it here as it * just turn part of the code into a *bold* font.

This code only corrupts Windows Store files after the November Windows 10 Update.I tried this code and had to reset my PC due to "You'll need to find an app to open windows-store."

It didn't work for me! Uninstalling Dropbox like ThiVids advised did the job though!

Paste those to powershell then restarted, but it still not fixed =(

Dear Britec09 good videos. One thing I've seen other bloggers do in you tube land is to copy and past the code or command you use in the description. That way we can just copy and paste the commands or code into power shell directly from the description.

I'm trying to follow these instructions, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to paste in to the powershell? Not sure what "big command" you are referring to?

I have tried this twice and when I go into set up a new account - the critical error pops up again. I'm about 95% done with PCs. You need your own IT department to maintain them it seems.

I installed classic shell to mask the error but i lose some taskbar functionality. Best fix I have found so far. This video did not work.

just made the first step and it got worse. Before the start menu at least reacted after a few minutes, even though the error was still being displayed. Now it doesn't work at all.

Wish I had seen this yesterday! I just finished a scratch re-install because of this error. I did try the sfc /scannow and it found errors which it could not fix. Interestingly, the log file said that the Microsoft licence rtf file was corrupt. It was a W7 laptop, upgraded to W10 last September. I now have concerns that this may become epidemic as I have now seen 2 laptops with similar problems.

Its not solved.. I can't open internet symbol to connect wifi...and i can't open start button after i tried these code and commands..i can't add user.. windows security can't open...

Can someone help I followed everything but when I go to add new user it won't pop up, I don't have Dropbox showing in my uninstall programs either... I can't open my photos but I media player works

Sound quality is very poor and hence could not fix up problem.

all this time, dropbox was the real villain. as soon as i uninstalled it, everything started working again.

I tried this method as well as the temp fix booting in safe mode and neither one works for me. I still get the critical error message. any thoughts?

So if i do the reinstall windows with keep files, do all the files stay installed and wont corrupt?? It’ll just fix it??

uninstalling dropbox also resolved the issue for me. Thanks ThiVids for that suggestion.

Hi Brian, is there any fixes for fixing the windows 10 store, I used the same method of fixing the start menu, after a few updates with Windows 10 the store and other apps are now broken, any fixes for this issue?

Where do you find the lengthy command???? This fix is useless without the command syntax and it looks blurry on the video and cannot read the detail.
