Running games as an administrator is not a "fix", it's a dangerous half-assed attempt that can lead to more problems

try changing your profile picture and your profile name while game is open and you are in the lobby, it worked for me and my buddy.

@@Teddini Finally got it to work. Just kept having it check file integrity and now it works. I did try an actual MM game in CS2 instead of a casual game...

in short: verify integrity of game files, run as administrator, remove launch options and boot pc. Didnt fix anything though.

try changing your profile name and your profile pic. then verify the integrity of your files again and try to search for a game. yes it makes absolutely no sense, but it JUST worked for me. also you could try to start an offline game with bots, play a few minutes and try to que again for a match. good luck

None of this worked for me, what did work was windows logo+ R and then paste C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe” /repair and press enter.

When trying this I get this error: Windows cannot find 'C:\Program' , make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. I went to the location and copied the location from the window along with copying and pasting what you wrote.
