Fix default boot device missing or boot failed: bit.ly/3jA7ADQ
Hi Guys, In this video I have shown the simplest and easiest way to fix this error "default boot device missing or boot failed"
The disk boot failure, or more specifically speaking, "DISK BOOT FAILURE - INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER", is an error that means Windows couldn't load correctly. ... It means that the disk boot failure occurs because BIOS is unable to find a bootable drive to start up the computer during the startup process.
A defective motherboard, or the video card, or piece of RAM could cause Windows not to be able to boot properly. To test for hardware issues, you can create and use an Ultimate Boot CD, which contains a collection of troubleshooting utilities to try and identify, and sometimes fix, hardware problems.
A problem in the Windows operating system can also cause the system stuck on the boot menu. Sometimes, a virus or malicious program corrupts the Windows operating system files that cause the system to stuck on the boot menu.
I have posed so many videos on different errors in Laptop you can go through the same if you need any solution.
For Legacy Machines:
1. Power on the laptop.
2. Enter the BIOS setup. How To Access BIOS: ...
3. Go to the Boot tab. ...
4. Highlight Boot Mode, press Enter, and swap from UEFI to Legacy Support. ...
5. Go to the Exit tab and highlight Exit to save changes. ...
6. Restart the machine.

You need to re-install the Windows, it it asking you to insert a bootable pen drive from which you can install Windows again.

There is an option of secure boot, turn it disabled first. After that you can do it.

Sure, press f2/f10/f12 repeatedly on start up it will take you to the bios settings. There you can check in the general tab that is your hard drive getting detected or not?

In my case there is two options in boot device, the first is set as default but I want to set set option as default which is from SSD. This problem I got after bios update, before bios i was normally using second option as default which is of SSD. Please help 🥺🙏

That means you need to re install the Windows. It is asking you to insert a bootable pen drive so that you can install Windows again from it.

Go to the bios settings, in the last tab you will find reset to default. Click on it and press f10 and hit enter. If this process help you then its ok if not then you need to re install the Windows.

The way you have shown in to video it's again showing default boot device missing or Boot failed , Insert recovery media and Hit any key , Then select' Boot manager ' to choose a new Boot Device or to Boot recovery Media
