Just like in other 3D softwares, you create extra planes / meshes with fully transparent texture areas removed to create the actual shapes via texture.

A little correction. JSON is not code. It is a data file that exists to store some data in a a way that the computer can use it (after some parsing). Code is something that can actually be executed and be used as something that does something.

I'm in 1.19.2 and I'm having an issue with a 3D crop resource pack, it's from 1.14.4 and the models work fine but all of the cutout's PNGs display as opaque despite them being the proper PNG and the models looking fine in Blockbench. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

i have a error where im currently making a hat texture thats in place of the golden hoe, (resource pack) the model works its just that the texture doesnt load and i tried every single method and nothing worked. got some ideas to fix this?

I am very confused and dont know what to do. I have my custom model and I have my textures in the right folders but if I load it ingame its either the model missing the texture or its the errorblock and sometimes its just invisible depending on what I change. (I have no idea what I'm doing)

The comma was one of the first things I learned the hard way and almost immediately spotted. I was watching a tutorial before I made my own edits and custom textures to right away recognized my mistake. However, the brackets and quotation were something I gradually understood regardless of the tutorials; I wanted to experiment right away while learning. I also learned that not all textures for one thing will apply the same way to other blocks, even if they sort of look similar. Tall grass or any block similar to how it works are one of the most annoying things. Though not hard to make textures for, applying them and the math/the distance for how high or low the top texture will appear above the bottom texture is annoying. Grasses and leaves and their color are as fun as they are challenging. The cactus and the chorus plant are something I've yet to master.

Absolutely a fun challenge per say! And I hope new beginners can come across this early on so they learn to "naturally" overcome these steps - as we who make stuff for a living absoutely get them, but are too used to them to regard it as a "problem" at this stage ^^'

hi, i encounter an issue with the STONE block yes that single block has that error black-red colors. its a problem since every minecraft world loads with stones everywhere, and now mine has red-black colored blocks around instead of the default stone block texture. its the only block that is like that, and i have no idea why since yesterday everything was fine.

pretty good information, but what about, my custommodel is working ingame, shown correctly everywhere, but now the vanilla texture of that block/item is shown in the gui/inventory as broken texture? if you place it it´s still correct. That is a system inside of minecraft block models (that you CAN overwrite) called "face culling" which is meant to prevent your game from running at 0 fps and combusting your GPU into charcoal. Effectively, if you add custom models to blocks, the culling of all other blocks will not render sides that would normally be considered "covered/hidden" so the game don't try to render them - which is what prevents your PC from dying.

I'm so grateful for this tutorial. Datapack creation can be really challenging sometimes. There is a tool you could recommend to the audience - The Model Generator, because it can help setting up the datapack wayyyy easier. Also a solid suggestion for some of your future content - There are literally no videos on YT about the enchantment glint on data pack models. I've always had the issue to correct the glint to a normal state. Instead it's chaotic because the game recognizes all the cubes from Blockbench as separate objects. Hope u consider it, cheers!

Attacks have a timing attached for animation length. And if you have several attacks you need to make states for them individually.

Use an image editing software, change the opacity of those pixels below 100%, the closer to 0 - the more glow strength. In the entity json, change the material to "spider".

If you make a non-transparent block in Java with a model smaller than 16x16x16, then you will run across this issue. Not because of that model, but because all other blocks are set to not show their sides whilst they're covered. If not, the game would run at 2 fps.

The 3D items in bedrock are addes to the player as geometry, and uses the player rig. Weird, dumb and absolutely silly in my opinion. Short answer, you gotta do some pretty frustrating setup, and the item needs more than just a model file

You'd need to make it move in place, and code a behaviour that makes it move between coordinate points over time, or between invisible entities

My texturepack works fine 1.19.2 soon as i update to 1.19.4 any of my blockstate/custom textures are straight purple.? anyone have any ideas that can help. Im used to updating my pack this is the first time with this issue just from updating

Correct, Minecraft 1.19.4 breaks the old texture pack system entirely :) It's poorly documented by video creators yet, but on the basics... They now work with sheets again, and texture paths are a bit finnicky to explain here in simple text. We might have it covered in some documentation on the community discord FAQ help section, not sure however.

I have an issue with flickering textures in game, everything was working perfectly, and then all I did was change the display model, and now my model has some flickering pixels, that kind of z-fighting flicker you see. I have tried everything I know to fix it and nothing is working. I even reverted the changes I made to the display of it in case, and still it flickers, it's so bizarre. Any ideas? :/ *EDIT* I fixed it, for some reason the UV map on my textures were not covering 1x1 pixel but instead for some reason, maybe auto UV? They were covering 1x0, just a slither of the texture causing it to be the right colour and looking okay, when it wasn't actually rendering it properly. :)

hey so this is weird, im using animated java plugin to export the model. The model shows up, but the texture isnt there. I checked if the file path is correct, it is. And there are no capital letters. What now? Now i am in 1.19.4, so using f3+s i get the debug file. Here i see the texture isnt in there. So it is there but it isnt

I use entity wizard and my texture are not load in game, its purple and black.

Did you export / save your model's texture with the correct name to the destination folder in the resource pack?

ArtsByKev I use 1.16.5 and my armour has turned black and pink i tried reinstalling the game but it didn't work . And with texture pack and without texture pack it is still black and pink can you help to solve this problem and i didn't use any mods
