Thank you thank u.i stopped updated adb. Than es set all the Amazon apps as factory installed when I left ES I got select the language then press play pause button to start and this continually did that back and forth so the other way I could do it I should have waited all day but with your great help thank you so much you throw away that fire stick in the garbage can I laughed but you saved the fire stick but I lost all my all my data all my apps which took a year to put on there for some reason you can't put the apps that is still on that USB what you do a factory reset I guess you just can't retrieve the information that's on that even I'm using the even though I'm using the same fire stick I haven't done anything yet to it I was going to see you tomorrow maybe I left the ADV or maybe put some backless reason I'll come turn it on tomorrow and my absol will be back here on my external drive but thank you so much cuz I was so close to throwing them highest thick in the can keep up the good work highly appreciate it

this young lady know what's she's talking about, I'm glad I came across this video. I was able to fix my problem. In my particular case, the reason was that stick was too hot because I use it on a plasma TV and they have the tendency of getting kinda hot. Thank you!!!
My friend has a problem with his Fire stick it doesn’t boot at all just a black screen - I have tried it in my tv using all my wires and HDMI that didn’t work either. Plugged mine back in and it does work so I know there’s no issue with the ports/cables. Any idea what it could be or how to fix it please? Thanks
Shuts off by itself and i have to restart by unplugging from outlet to restart it. It keeps doing it over and over 4K firestick TV connected with wire, not WiFi
On mine too, I did a bunch a troubleshooting tried different fharging adapters, and cables. Found out it was the not original cable, the original has indentations on both connectors. For troubleshooting purposes I connected cable to my phone and ran the ampere app. It showed the faulty cable charge only at 800 mA and the good original charged at 1300 mA.
Ok, "BACK BUTTON" and "DIRECTION RIGHT" didn't work for 10seconds, but held it for 20 seconds and now I have FIRETV logo on screen and animation, so I am wondering if it is updating itself now as it appears to be in boot loop on load screen. Will give it half hour n report back .. lol

Mine has just done this to me started acting up 2 weeks ago but today it’s not working at all / been unplugging - rebooting my router/ it’s about 2 years old…… I assumed it would last longer…… I’m using the items that came in the box. It’s loaded the storage optimisation window after unplugging everything for the 5th time. It’s now stuck on optimisation window and I’m unable to force a reboot/reset. Il try leaving it longer…..
i tried everything - unpliuged overnight - booted to homescreen then restarted itself now still stuck on firetv logo -- tried safemode (mute and minus buttons) -- loaded but then crashed and then eventually restarted -- tried factory reset... now in a bootloop that never ends... cant even get anything.. "resetting your firetv cube".. "the system update had failed" "resetting firetv cube" "the system update has failed" ... been that for days now.. amazon dont seem to care
amazon told me to do a factory reset -- and NOW they say "as you reset it deactivated it off your account, so we cannot send you a replacement device" (yet its only 3 months old!)
Same scenario here until 1 day it won't open anymore. I don't know why, something hanging up for no reason. Last time was my son playing a high graphic game using my fire tv stick 4k that he downloaded and then all of the sudden hanging up or no response in the hdmi port.
Tried everything except the keyboard method since I don't have the parts handy. Tried a usb wireless mouse to see if it was recognized. That didn't work. I think this is for for the trash. Remote isn't paired. I can't pair it. Since it's looping it then eventually freezes on the no homescreen message. Won't respond to the factory reset combo either.
I've noticed that mine seems to do this only when my fiestick only has less than 1 gb left. They sure don't give you much room! Now I have to delete most apps. I only keep a few that I regularly watch... then reinstall one if i want to watch a particular show. Since I have youtube, Netflix & Hulu already built into my TV, I don't put them on my firestick. I make sure to always have at least 2gb left. Plus, clearing each apps cache helps too.

I got a firecube and had about just over a year, one day and turned it on It just went black I tried everything changed cables changed hdmi cable left it off over night but it's still black & won't do anything only thing I haven't done is talked Amazon that's my next step thanks to you for mentioning it in your video😅
I had the issue of setup screens looping again and again after factory reset. I tried everything on all these youtube videos but nothing worked. I left it plugged in overnight (with wifi connected) and the problem got solved.
Great video! I have a question because I don’t know if this could be an indication of the fire stick not working but I tried the restart and factory reset method with the remote but nothing is happening at all. I even changed the batteries to make sure that wasn’t the reason why nothing was happening, but the message of shutting down or asking if I want to factory reset still didn’t display. I was holding the button down for a while too lol. In that case what should I do? Thank you in advance
Tonya, nice video. If you decide to update your video, let everyone know that they will need the serial number to the device when calling amazon. If they have more than one device, Amazon will want to know which one it is causing the problem. If they are not sure and Amazon deletes the device (Which they do for returns) then there will be an issue if the wrong device is deleted. Then mutiple devices will have to be sent back. They can't undo the delete process from Online because it shuts down the process of your wifi connection to firestick and they can know longer connect via theirs. Once deleted the stick it is useless until it gets to their team of trouble shooters who refurbish them. Have a wonderful day.
Another great video from T. Only thing that worked for me was getting a 4k Max. I gave up on the standard 4k model after 3 faulty units in a row! If its less than a year Amazon should replace the unit itself at the very least. I had the credit for a full price one put back in my account then i spent the extra £5. That was even though i bought it half price during black Friday. Theres apparently LOADS of dodgy sticks around guys so beware if none of these great tips work you probably have one!
My problem is when I power it on, the screen will boot up and show all of my applications, but when I click on an application, it’ll just take me back to the Home Screen. If I wait too long the screen will go black and say “There was an error that prevented this from loading.” I’ve done everything on the video except for factory resetting it and I just emailed Amazon, I’m not sure what else to do, I may just buy a new one but if there is something else, please let me know, thank you
what fixed for me what connecting the stick to a dedicated power supply instead of using the USB on the tv. I guess this doesn't give out enough power.
I have a 2nd generation firestick and I've tried everything to no avail. I changed hdmi ports, tried different USB cables, used power cable, unplugged and waited, plugged directly into port without extender, left it plugged in for days, plugged it into a different TV and still nothing works. I tried a factory reset with the remote but it won't respond to the command either I think it's just fried.
I made a mistake and clicked reset fire tv and I don’t have a fire tv I have a fire stick which is probably why I’m stuck on no signal now is there any fixes ?

I've had my Amazon FireTV for several years. I was watching Hulu last night, and my screen froze mid-broadcast. It remained frozen all night. I was tired of looking at the frozen image, so I closed my entertainment center so that I wouldn't have to continue looking at the frozen image. This morning, I opened up my entertainment center and the screen was no longer frozen, but it was just black/blank. I tried pressing and holding down buttons on the remote control, but the screen remained blank. My entertainment center has two power outlets, one on top of the other. The power cord was plugged into the top outlet, and it has always been plugged into that outlet since I've owned the tv. I unplugged the power cord from the top outlet and plugged it into the bottom outlet. VOILA! That did the trick! The tv powered up and I was able to select channels and watch tv again!
Hello there hope you're having a great day. I have a problem with my fire tv, it is on the bootup screen but nothing seemed to work trying to get it into the home screen or at least finishing up the booting. I've contacted Amazon and Toshiba and they gave me steps to try and solve the problem but everything failed, and of course, my warranty ran out The remote control's LED flashes whenever I push the buttons signaling that there is no connection but the power button only works. Pls help it will be much appreciated.
HELP!!I bought a new amazon firestick JUST so I could have a 2nd remote in the living room. I successfully paired the 2nd remote to my firestick that we have already had for a couple years. It worked for a while then I started to get the “low battery “warning. This is a NEW remote. I didn’t even use the amazon batteries, I used new energizer ones. I have tried all the tricks unplugging the fire stick, resetting my remote, holding down the home button, holding down the “three” buttons down together. Restated my fire stick, seriously these are just comical things that they are trying to get us to do. Can anyone help???
Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with some remotes and users reporting the same problems. Report this issue to Amazon to see if they will offer a replacement. Worked for me..unplugged tv from the wall first,& then i unplugged the firestick from the back of the television & un attached the firestick cables..waited 10 minutes & put everything back in the same order & voila

I recommend unplugging the Fire TV from the power supply. Unplugging your router from the power supply. Leave everything unplugged for at least 30 seconds. Then, plug everything back in and try again. If that still does not work, please get in touch with Amazon support.
I'm trying to fix a friends stick but the key board wont stay powered long enough for me to input to key strokes, (it does power on for around 5 seconds though as its led so i can see). the keyboard is fine as it works and powers normally when i use it with my own stick, baffled why its not staying powered on. Love the channel✌
Is your friend's Firestick powered by a USB port on the back of their TV? If so, it probably isn't providing enough power. You would need to use the power adapter.
Hello, I recently purchased an OTG cable, as well as a wired keyboard, and attempted to get it into safe mode, however, I know it isn't recognizing the keyboard, because when I press the caps lock button, nothing happens, however, when plugged directly into my MacBook Pro, it worked, and I also tried to see if it would work plugging it into the USB port on my tv, but it wouldn't work that way either. Is there something I could be doing wrong?

Well, I suppose I could’ve tried a new cable or adapter for my old fire stick but I just ended up buying a new one with the upgrade option and saved a bit of money. So I think it was about $25 with tax. I am in the USA and new fire stick is working like a charm. Just be sure you only get the 4K if your TV is compatible with that. I have an older Sony model that is not 4K it’s just HD, so I just got to the upgraded version of the fire stick compatible with this TV. This is my third fire stick, they do not last forever. I had added a few more apps for streaming on my older Firestick that may have been the end of its life as I knew it.

Rebooted my firestick ,lost my internet connection,won’t accept my password given by my ISP,this morning I found that my I phone has no internet connection either ,,been on to Amazon ,no help whatsoever,will now have to get onto Ofcom ,waiting for my I pad to go down next ,,,,,hopefully it won’t
Sadly none of the tips worked for me. I think my tv stick is damaged but Amazon refuse to accept this and will not replace it so they can go fly, i will never buy another thing from them.
Please help I have a Toshiba firetv black screen but when I goto the htmi the TV will show about 3 seconds and I can watch all my apps but no homepage either
My Fire TV Cube is playing up the blue light on the front just sweeps back and fore then goes out for about 10 seconds and repeats, all I can see on the TV screen is the Fire TV LOGO, If I factory reset I will loose all my APP's or are they stored or is there anyway around losing them all. I have tried all different way of resetting seen here on RU-vid but nothing seems to work, Factory reset might be the last solution Amazon was of no help, just offered 15% discount on new Cube. If you factory reset, you will lose your apps. To stop the blue light from coming on, have you restarted your router recently? Remove the power supply for 30 seconds and reboot it.
@@FireTVSticks Thanks for replying I did respond but for some reason it's not showing, I have tried all the unplugging etc. but it's still stuck on the solid blue light, stays on for a short time then goes out, then it comes back on repeat, (there's also a light blueish coloured light sweeps from side to side in the background of the solid light) It's been unplugged for days, plug it in and back to the same as above. I have tried a factory reset using buttons on the cube but nothing happens, and it's still just the fire tv logo on screen, so possibly it's for the skip. It's around £130 for a new one, decided to set up an old fire stick.
Also you can turn on the TV and as soon as you see the FIRETV logo come up on the screen unplug the TV. Leave it off for a couple of minutes and plug back in. That worked for me.
Great video, you covered all bases :) I was using with a Sony Bravia, I tried several USB adapters (even 3A), but when connected with original USB power adapter, worked solid. Also ensure proper TV settings made. Thanks
