Fix for Flickering Screen of Samsung S7 edge 

Watching this with my flckering screen

This happens when the lcd isn't supplied the right current or it is off by a margin to be stable with the low brightness setting. You actually need to open the phone take off the lcd ribbon cable and check for rust or dirt and reseat the ribbon cable. I fix a Galaxy Tab S2 7 inch by replacing the battey after reseating the lcd ribbon cable and still has the flickering problem, yes the faulty battery can cause flickering but start with the ribbon cable first. Godd luck guys.

Just found better solution to this problem!! What i did was simply enabling the "always on display" feature by going to settings>lock screen and security>always on display and boooom! Flicker is gone! (Note that this will not work if your mobile is on "power saving" mode. Disable the feature first and then proceed to the next step) 😁

Bro, when i max the brightness the flicker is still there...

my phone does the exact opposite it gets better when I turn the brightness down and gets worse when I turn it back up, I literally have the same exact black spot at the top left of the screen, exactly just like you XD

This has been happening on my S8 for a long time now. When it first started to happen, turning off the Always-on Display made it stop. Then months later it started to happen again. So then I just reduced the brightness and that made it stop. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a few days. Sometimes I think temperature triggers it, because it seems to happen more when I am charging the phone. I really have no idea why this started to happen. The phone has been dropped but I have it in a good case and it has been dropped only a few feet inside my car. I use the phone daily for work. I'll see how long it lasts before it starts to get too bad to use.

Hi. My Samsung galaxy s6 edge has a flickering problem that the screen is black and when I press the home key, it starts flickering and when I press power it stops. It vibrates for when its charging and when I take it off charge. It shows a blue light but then goes back to its original state. It isn't turning on at all. Plz reply soon if there's a fix. I had the Same issue since last month, but now screen is completely dead 😂😂 so could not try ur trick!, but I think it would work

the fix is set the brightness to max then to lowest and then to max and repeate for 7 second and u will see it fixed

This works for me but only if i have Auto brightness on and then set the brightness to max.

The probelm is located in the top left corner of the phone...thats where the damge is on that handset like mine... what i do is apply preaure with my fingers tp the point and the then unlock it. And my phone doesnt flicker..

The screen is not in tact. It has a dead spot in the corner and that means there is unfixable damage to the electronics of the display. You need to get a new or working display on the bay.

It happened to mine and I actually did the auto brightness to the max aswell. My question is, did your flickering ever stop? - without replacing the screen that is... Did anyone's flickering stop?

Have Galaxy s7. Same problem. Never dropped the phone it just started doing this Samsung know about the issue but won't do anything as it would cost them millions. Very Bad. Adjusting the brightness to LOWEST and turning OFF auto adjust worked for me. Have you tried factory reset does that fix it ? I haven't tried that

Please try Different values of manual brightness including max (as in this video) and other levels Auto brightness off or auto brightness on combined with above OLED saver app from Google play store Mamoud Ayoub recommends "setting-display-screen mode-basic" Elsewhere "switch off edge panel lighting" is recommended which may be "screen mode-basic" S8's can be helped by turning off ""Always on display" but I don't know if that is a setting on an s7. If you use the option in this video (max brightness) then you can install blue light block" app and set blockrate about 50~80%. And set color to black (to prevent the screen from being too bright) Thanks to a korean with usename Heyyy. There are also android developer options (not sure if they are available in S7, or non rooted phones) such as "Turn off Hardware Overlays" and "Redraw CPU rate" I am thinking of buying a damaged s7 which "after a few minutes the bottom half of the screen starts flickering" for 50USD. I wonder how likely it is to be usuable using one of the above. I don't need to use it as my full time phone just to do some video editing. Someone says that 4/5 screen issues will be kind of cured by one of these particularly the 1, 2 and 5.

Shit is it's the phone screen erors due to the video mode and what happens it's the green layer in the video mode glitches too sometimes with legendary night vision effects I got that with the flicker nowadays I'd expect this to happen then brightness is a problem

I have same problem since today... My phone has dropped many times, the screen is craceked for about half a year and today out of nowere it started to flicker similar on video, the solution with maxing out the brightnes seems to help, but only 95% the time.... EDIT Damn, I followed the 1 advices on this site and for now it seems it was some new program/updated/ smth related problem. Moreover it seem to fix it self, only by entering the safe mode, and then restatring the device!

My s7 has the exact pixel loss at the top left like yours, it started shortly after I got it, it's also doing the exact same flickering
