Quite sad how you don't get a bunch of views in a long period of time. Your videos are helpful even when I don't have the problem, because you cover every single topic necessary.

Win 11. Not working anymore. I've just tested and the message said that "This app will not work on your device." and the INSTALL button is freeze. I keep my pictures on a local storage and when I need to download something from storage to pc I can't open anymore. It seems that my problem occurs only with pictures taken with my iPhone and imported to storage. Photos taken with my other phone (Android) can be downloaded and opened without problems. I can pay for this codec, it's not about money, but I use the storage to transfer information with other people and I can't ask everyone to install this codec. This is a bit disturbing.

It looks like Microsoft removed the HEVC codec 😞

Great video - so easy to follow... Up until the part about installing HEVC with command R. No worries, your command worked and took me to the app in the store, but the install button is grayed out. Is that no longer an option? Thanks again for your video. Will definitely be subscribing to this channel.

Hi, for people wanting the HEVC for video reasons the VLC player plays those files fine.
