thank you so much. i spent hours trying to fix this issue and iphone support was no help. the rep said i needed to have a technician look at my phone. never once did the rep tell me to check the silent button and that's what the issue was. tks again.

I don’t have WhatsApp , all my settings are on correct but when my phone is locked, I don’t get the notification sound of a text message, but I get the sound on my Apple Watch. It’s been very frustrating. iPhone 13

Hey. Thank you for initial info. But. Somehow I got the impression when you said reset it would leave all my settings intact. Absolute nightmare. Hours to get it back to where I want it. Unenlightened listeners beware.
Man I’ve had this problem for so long , after listening I went to Notification-messages-, notifications was off, I didn’t turn it off, must have happened after a software update , turn on , now it works 😂
I have tried all of this multiple times and still some notifications, randomly, don't make a sound. It's super frustrating because it's intermittent. Sometimes a notification will make sound and sometimes it won't. Same notification, same settings, same app except sometimes a sound and sometimes not. I reset and that didn't help. The weird thing is that with identical settings some notifications will make a sound, 30 seconds later a notification comes in, no sound, 2 minutes later same notification from same app same settings, sound. Something is broken somewhere and I hate it but nothing I do makes any difference.
The first few iphones never had this problem. Apple is absolute trash, I don't know how you take so many steps backwards from things that used to be reliable.
Have the same issue on my iPhone 13 Pro: - randomly some notifications appeared, some - doesn’t - randomly some notifications has sound, some - doesn’t WTF? Does someone solved this issue? How?
Malathimuthuvel Bro, Make sure your WhatsApp app is up to date, then Go to Notification settings in the app, Make sure everything is turned on then restart notification settings for WhatsApp from iPhone Settings. It can help you with the issue.😊
@@Fix.369 Thank you. I tried that. If I keep the Lock Screen notification on, I can hear the sound. Unlike before, my lock screen notification used to be off and I could still hear the tone.

Hello, needed your help. I have "Hearing" in the control center of my iphone. I use it most of time time using my airpods max pro#2 during my studies. If i try to pause using airpods max pro#2 , "Pause" is NOT working from airpods. I have to manually go to the iphone and then pause it. Is this the normal behaviour ? Can't we "pause" the music directly using airpods itself instead of doing it manually going to iphone..

archanam705 Bro, If you do a All Settings Reset on your iPhone, then it won’t erase any personal data, like photo, video, Contacts etc. It will only erase customize settings. If the issue is happening due to any customize settings, it can fix the issue.☺️
dorenesmith5712 Bro, Make sure your Location service and Precise Location is Turned ON. If its already on restart them and make sure message have access to use Location. It can fix the issue.😊
Iphone12 all sound and notification are on… when I’m on homescreen or in other apps. If the text comes in, no sound but i still see the red circle to notify me that i got text. But when i open msg, in the main page of msg app, if i got text in, the sound works this time. What happen? How to fix it?
@@lenlensalvador3299 no not work.. i back up in icloud.. reset by erase all data. It works great like new phone but when i restore icloud back up.. the prob is back :( I know that i can just reset but i dont want to lose all data :(
@@panko02this is still happening on iOS 17.2 beta and it’s been like this since the 1st iOS 17. How did you fix this? Factory reset? Reset all settings? Factory reset? There’s a lot of people experiencing this problem but nobody has a fix.
bonniewatts7113 Bro, If you reset all settings, it won’t erase anything but customize settings. You won’t lose any of Photos, videos, contacts and more.😊
Nope. None of this works. Half of my apps are silent regardless of notification settings and none of the broken apps have customizable notification tones. Had the same issue with my previous 12 and 8.
The problem appears to be a bug - my guess is that you have Lock Screen, Notification and Banners all disabled. When you turn those on it starts working - but that's not the answer. Many people are complaining about this issue.
v3nomlegend193 Bro, I'm glad you found the solution! The "Ring/Silent" switch on your iPhone controls the silent mode, which affects notification sounds.☺️
