Yes, this is a pain in the butt. They need to fix this. I can not use half of my font library because it either filling in characters or dropping characters. Thank you for this video. You are awesome.

Not sure what your trying to do to correct the problem. I get that if the line goes pass and into the next letter, that when it seems to make that space solid. Will listen again , but more confused then before. Thank you for trying. I'm new to cricut which is part of the problem as well.
What I am doing is showing you how to figure out which words/letter groupings are causing the issue. Then, make the design larger before you weld as this will often resolve the issue. Then you can check your work in the mat preview screen after you hit Make it
I just did this today. It did work for my font. I made the problem word bigger. Checked w/"Make it" to make sure it was no longer being filled in. While it was big I welded it. Then I shrunk the word back to the size I needed. Good luck!
