FIX Nvidia Geforce Experience Unable To Open Share

The other fix for the issue is to completely remove geforce experience and uninstall it and reinstall it and that should fix your issue with it not working.

First time it happened to me was a few months ago after years of Nvidia Share working perfectly. I found your video and it was really helpful, it worked for me. Now it's been like 3 or 4 updates and I go back to this video and works every single time. Really, thank you.

Can't even close Nvidia's tasks. They just pop up again. And I have to *force* GE to not start up at boot because I can't disable it through Task Manager.

This fix still works! If you are having trouble with ending the tasks, just keep ending all the nVidia stuff until it’s all gone and then do as instructed in the video. I had to keep ending tasks till it no longer pops up. In the end the fix worked for me!

It could also be your antivirus program. It was in my case. Try unistalling your antivirus program and see if share works. Then you can again reinstall the program. Hope it helps :)

holy fuck thank you! nothing, absolutely NOTHING was working! i literally wiped and re installed my OS, and it didn't help. guess why? because the FIRST thing i always install is my antivirus. if i had a cookie to give you, you damn well would have earned it!

My folder for Share is not in the x86 folder, it's in the regular program files. The method didn't work for me. Also, nvidia container kept coming back after ending each task. It won't be denied

Share is one of the worst programs I've ever used. Some days it feels like working and some days it doesn't. It strong-arms me into accepting updates I don't need. It often times brings my system to a crawl when it's booting up (Nvidia Share is not responding). And the file sizes are ridiculously enormous. Nvidia keeps describing it as "experimental", well how much longer is that gonna last? The only program I dislike more than this is itunes, which may just be the worst thing we as a species have ever invented.

the one thing i go against here is file sizes they aren't that big compared to other things you can use programs which do completely lossless quality and a 10 min video is 50gb not mb 50gb.

If you guys are having a problem with FPS drop and can’t record with GeForce If you have 2 displays and you’re using the one hooked to the mother board change it to use the gtx in nvidia control panel physX or move the hdmi cord or any cord you use to the gtx card then try

Make sure you hit restart not shutdown if you shutdown it won't do it and no you ddon't have to do it everytime.

If you have two drives (in my case a m.2 SSD and a HDD) the following steps solved the problem for me: 1. Navigate to C:\Program Files and copy your Nvidia Corporation folder to the same place but on your HDD. Skip all existing files. 2. Do same but the other way around. 3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86) and copy your Nvidia Corporation folder to the same place but on your HDD. Skip all existing files. 4. Do same but the other way around. In case you dont have the folders on your drives you can create them by simply pasting your folders to the mentioned places.

In my case I have to turn on share manually everytime. When ever I restart my computer it gets turned off. and I have to repeat the process :( Its annoying and even when i enable it in game, it hides the overlays while i have enabled them in the settings, Only FPS Counter and Broadcast status shows but others dont. And if I play the game in window mode then it does show where its supposed to :(

sounds like the share process isn't starting correctly. completely uninstall everything to do with nvidia and reinstall the latest version.

I got it to run, I uninstalled Nvidia Display Drivers & Experience. Rolled back to a 2017 driver did a clean install. I then disabled the Geforce Experience auto update. The older version of GeForce Experience lets you enable the share feature that would not activate in the most recent update.

Try uninstalling your antivirus and then reinstalling geforce then reinstall your antivirus your antivirus may be blocking it.
