This almost helped. Thank you mate. My unit works but only 50% of the time. The focus motor functions perfectly but camera control and start/stop operation comes and goes
Hello, thanks for the tip! Do you also sometimes have the problem that it doesn't react? I sometimes think its because the wheel is to close to the motor. Have you any findings about that? Greetz form the Netherlands
I tried everything he said with both my a7siii and a7iv no bueno. I even had an older a7siii (old firmware version) and still nothing. Updated to the latest didn't fix it either. I have my tilta nucleous nano hooked into my side handle and the follow focus works great .... But record doesn't. It just turns red on the handle but nothing actually starts recording. Come on tilta .. I bought the cables that have been apparently made for the exact scenario I am using. Pretty frustrating
@@xxxbadandyxx Did you ever get this figured out? I have the Tilta cable ordered to go into the camera and wondering what the menu set up is in the camera.
Sadly no... With no response from tilta even submitting a second request. I haven't tried on the lastest firmware either but I feel the issue actually lies with the tilta nucleus nano and grip that may need updates in how they talk with Sony cameras. (This is just my .02 ... But I feel it is the right direction as that is the last variable that I cannot seem to find documentation on. Unless you update with the normal nucleus firmware. But I wasn't about to brick a 200+ dollar follow focus. Sorry I can't help out more

@@prepromedia7000 not a problem the nice thing about the handle even if it doesn't work as intended. If you are in a pinch and can't afford the super "cheap" v lock batteries 😂 the handle can give you a little more juice. Honestly though I don't even put the handle on anymore. I did sell both of my left testicles on the black market for 3 vmount batteries (one for each of the cameras)... Attached a top handle... With my atomos on top of that. I turned on the option to record when pressing the shutter and that seems to work for my workflow. I actually just went to a manual follow focus as well (I actually feel holding it closer to my chest from the 15mm bars is quite comfortable and stable ). I mainly do weddings so I normally do handheld work during the reception. But until I can afford that 50mm f1.2 gm I'll stick with my slr cine prime.
Same crap with canon. Tilta supports arri alexa but not my canon 5 d mark 4. I will no longer be using my tilta follow focus. I dont support companies who dont support their consumers.
