This fixed my issue!! Mine was a bit different and I had to change it to custom secure boot mode and then back to standard. Only then was my system mode changed from startup to user.

unable to make Secure Boot deployed because I'm getting a different issue when putting Secure Boot Mode to Standard, the message is "Secure Variable Update Locked Down, Try again after reboot." any fixes or solutions on this issue?

Note: if the secure boot mode says Standard already and you still hadn't enabled secure boot and you enabled it, it will not work to fix this enable secure boot first then set the secure boot mode to custom disable it secure boot again then turn on secure boot again then make the secure boot mode to standard and it will now say user or setup as long no active it will work now go to system information and it should tell that your secure boot is now enabled or on

I’m on ASRock and I’ve done everything, but my system mode doesn’t change over to deployed when I’m in standard mode. Is there something I need to change with the keys in custom by chance?

Interesting... mine keeps boot looping with those settings and doesn't load Windows... I am trying to enable secure boot with a Windows 10 installation so I can install 11. TPM is enabled.

Thanks so much, fifa works again. If anyone is having problem with still not activating secure mode, just go to bios boot settings and change boot type from uefi with csm to only uefi. Then you can activate secure mode just like the video.

What worked for me running a MSI board with Intel Chip. Change the Secure Boot Mode from Standard to custom. Then change it from custom back to Standard. You should get a pop-up that says it will install all default keys when you next restart your machine. Press F10 to save and exit. It will probably tell you that you have made no changes. Click save and exit or okay. When it restarts Secure Boot should show as enabled in the Windows 32 Settings.

Hello, I have an msi mother board, when I change CSM to UEFI and I save the settings, my pc doesn't post. it says somthing like integrated video memory share 64mb to 32mb and then the pc doesnt post, I just press F2 to go back to default settings and then the csm is enabled again. I have secure boot enabled in the bios but it says no in windows

For those already in standard mode. Change it to custom mode and then back to standard mode. Click No on reset without saving like the video. And then save and exit. This fixed the problem for me.

oh my god thank you so much! this has been pissing me off for the past few months and and this is the only tutorial that worked. For me i had a different gigabyte bios version (one that is red idk what one) i had to switch the mode to custom then select reset to factory keys or something then went back to the other option and it said user instead of deployed and then i rebooted and it worked. I am so happy this has made it impossible to play valorant with my friends and i was close to going back to windows 10.

Thank you so much! What happened to me is that thought secure boot was enabled and the user mode was Standard, it wasn't working. All that I needed to do was disabling secure boot, selecting Custom, reboot my PC and then reactive and selecting Standard.

hello, I have the following problem: I enable secure boot in BIOS and when it starts up everything is fine. But if I turn off my pc completely, the next day the setting resets and my pc launches '3 times' when I turn it on. When I then go back ito the settings everything has turned back to how it was the day before (reset to secure boot disabled and cms enabled)

I’m on an older MSI motherboard. My computer suggested I upgrade to windows 11 so I downloaded it. Since then, Valorant does not open. I read their article about needing to enable TPM 2.0 (which worked) and enabling secure boot. At first the message that popped up would happen, only I don’t have a place to restore factory keys. I even went and downloaded the latest drivers for my motherboard where it said it supported Windows 11. I went back into the BIOS to see if anything had changed. I was able to change secure mode to enabled, but it still wouldn’t work once I got back into the main desktop. I’ve been trying to fix this for 4 hours. (Motherboard is H310M PRO-VD (MS-7B33))

You set yours to custome, but mine was automatically to standard, so all I did was turn it to custom and then standard again, and it got fixed, so thank you!

I had it’s all up and running with everything turned on with Tpm, and csm disabled but it reverted back to turning off csm now won’t disable even though everything is in gpt, I have the same gigabyte and just don’t know what to do it keeps reenabling

Hello! Why does my key management under secure boost always returns to 0 when I shut down my laptop resulting to turning off the secure boost. Everytime I open my laptop I would on my secure boost again under BIOS. Thank you for your help.
