Yeah I have the same problem. Phone lets me hear them but they can't hear me. I had finally fixed it by toggling off things having to do with apps' intervention with sound, like alexa but somehow the problem came back in september 2021. I think it is because my android LG keeps self-loading apps I don't want that do alexa stuff. Is there a current video?

@@mikesunboxing Mike my situation is that when receiving a telephone call or phoning someone, I cannot hear them unless I have the speaker on. I followed your instructions but when I got to the voice match, the only choice I had was "Hey Google and voice match" , which was off and nothing else. I have spent hours with the providers, but accept for offering to get back to factory defaults etc. backing up my apps and they are not sure if will work, they don't know why I cannot hear. I have a Moto G Stylus, it is only 30 days old. Putting on the speaker did not bother before but now I am back going to work on buses and I don't want others to hear my calls.
@@olindas.pereira3263 I would suggest, try using or downloading a new or different 'dialler' the default android/Google one is good and might be different from the Moto one. Installing a different dialler will require you to authorise the permissions for the app to use the microphone, speaker etc and hopefully this will fix the problem, or at least give you some idea if the output is damaged in some way

I was Completely mystified until I watched your video. My solution was just to plug in a headphone jack - the problem resolved immediately. I've never plugged anything into the jack before, so it was clearly some software glitch. But you solved it!

I fixed my phone 2 years ago after I watched your video and the same thing happen to my phone's voice again and went through youtube videos to get tutorial of how to, but there is no one mention to go to google setting and I could not get back to your video. I finally got your video and was so happy and fixed the phone sound. I do not think that I will forget how to fix and this channel anymore. I appreciate your work.
This just happened to me and this video helped me to understand what was going on better. Still. This is kind of a serious little old "bug" to be floating around in their phones for so long, now. The actual *phone* feature doesn't want to work correctly...? People need to go online to research, play around and guess what they are doing.....? That's stupid. Google needs to take this one more seriously and to release updates that fix everyone's phone. No user should be experiencing this kind of downtime.

I have a note 8 and everytime I connect to a bluetooth device It says "in call volume" and to get it away I have to restart the phone and it's a hassle doing it everytime is there any solution??

hey mike ,made a video and i can hear audio , can hear audio on everything apart from when i recieve or making a call to someone , they can hear me but its very low for me to hear , done the usual checkup on sounds and settings , even factory restored my samsung s8 , any ideas ?

I can make phone calls, record video with sound. But I dont hear a sound if I do not connect via Bluetooth or headset? What should be the case? There is no sound for the incoming calls, alarm, video. When I plug in the headset I can hear normally . Tnx

If you have your screen protector on..sumtimes there isn't a hole open for you to hear through the speaker. Try it out..Take off the protector and see if you can hear..If you can just cut a hole where there should be one

I am using Ulefone Power 5 (running Oreo 8.1 with April security patch) for only a month and was working great till last week. Suddently, when I receiving calls that morning, I couldn’t hear either calling tone or caller’s audio through phone upper speaker (hearing piece). But I still can hear the voice when I switch the call in loud speaker mode and also by using Bluetooth earphones as well as usual earphones. I had already “factory reset” it by that day giving the fact that it might solve the issue and it didn’t. I watched all 3 videos of yours for fixing android call problems, set exactly as you suggested and restarted it too, but still no sound yet. Can you help me with this since it is very weird to do phone calls over earphone or headphones all the time?
The sim inself has another roaming option and the option to choose your specific region. Telenor are a virtual network I think, so maybe the internal routing is playing up. Ask Telenor if they have a sim tool or app that you can set the sim's roaming setting. This is different from the data roaming option.

I need help trying to fix my Samsung j3. I was testing the sound on a tv using a headphone Jack. I must have had it hooked up to the tv wrong cas when i plugged the jack into my phone to play music on the tv. There was like an electric surge and my phone immediately shut off. Now i cant get absolutely any sound out of my phone whether through the head phones or through the regular speaker. The phone doesn't ring or anything. Also when i make a call the people on the other end can not hear me at all. Did i blow something out and is there a way i can open the phone and by pass something to fix it. I cannot get to a phone repair shop any time soon so i need to be able to fix this manually.
You may have damaged the analogue signal but the digital signal may still work with Bluetooth. Try a headset and see if you can get any audio. Otherwise is the hardware repair shop I think

@@helddown2775 There probably is a way to repair it but i am totally out of my depth when it comes to individual components that are used to create audio. Maybe try looking up the phones schematics online? That might give you some idea of where the problem lies and maybe if the replacement part is actually available to buy. Sorry i can't help you more.

Hi there is a bug with Android 11 not Oreo or Pie etc ANDROID 11, I cannot hear the phone ring or hear anyone speak unless I put the phone on speaker but they can always hear me, I have tried all of your videos and solutions and nothing works, I have the same issue on multiple phones with Android 11, just randomly started happening please could you try help if possible? it seems to be a permissions issue. If you install a new default app for calls it will update the permissions and work fine until another poorly coded app overrides it
My mic has issues as you know and audio router has helped a lot but not fully. When I am outside it works fine but inside the mic still has issues a lot of the time. Has been like this on 4 x P20 Pros. Is this the mic or a phone issue do you think?
This does seem really odd that this is happening. Have you tried a brand new PAYG simcard from a different Mobile provider just to see if there is any network compatibility issues?
I really appreciate you making these series. But my problem still remain and that is that my primary microphone(the one on the bottom) doesn't work whether i'm calling someone or recording my voice, the only time is when i use speakermode when calling or shooting a video, but i'm guessing it's the secondary mic(the one on the top) that is recording. i already tried everything you mentioned. I also tried flashing different older firmware as i am running on os 8.1.0 on a Galaxy S5 Plus. It seems that it's a hardware issue and since my contract already has been expired, i can't get it fixed. Unless i have to order a new board and replace it myself. But is there any other way to fix this problem, like using the secondary mic as the primary mic? etc
Sorry to hear that it seems like you have a hardware problem. I don't know if lesser audio or audio router might be able to force the use of the secondary mic? It seems unlikely but as they are both free, might be a good idea to try it first before starting repairs?
Hey! I have been experiencing the same problem for a week now. That is, my microphone doesn't work when I am calling someone or recording my voice, but when i put the phone in speaker mode during a call, it does. And right now, I can't even hear anything from videos/youtube/netflix or whatsapp audios which for the past week was fine even when i was experiencing the other problem. So I would be really grateful if you could let me know how you got it fixed. I really am not in a position to afford a new phone or even spend much for expensive repairs right now. One other way you may be able to fix the audio for a speaker phone it's to make a phone call and then press the volume up if you're using any Android tab on the button under the bar and it will give you big boost might work it for maybe that one no one else
Ok not what I was looking for, but on my earbuds when I don't alow them to work for calls, it won't work for any audio, also all audio sound like I'm on a call and soonest playing it trough the speaker to me Edit: if I turn of audio on its perdition, I still hear the audio. So I'm pretty sure output is going through the call or somthing Edit edit. It's gone, the earbud is connected, but wont input the sound

i am very new to android cell phones be kind. My very first cell phone that does more than just make calls. Speakers work fine. Microphone works to record and hear what i recorded. When i make calls or when someone calls me the microphone is muted. I have done 2 re sets. no luck. again I have to apologize i only know that the phone is a LG android. I know there's more to it than just that info but i don't know what it is. I have had two people try to figure it out using my phone and trying to call their phones I do hear people speaking when they call me and When I call them. the microphone has a / through it and it is dulled. OH please I need help.
could be a blockage on the mic, either a screen protector covering the mic port or even a case if it is in one. Other than that it could be the headphone jack is dirty and stuck in headset mode, or an app running in the background that is using the mic
very likely if you can't hear your voice when recording a video and people can't hear you in a call. Would possibly lead to hardware I would try using a plugged-in headset earphone and microphone combination and see if you get the same results if you still get no saying down there will definitely a hardware problem I would I would most likely think

I was having same mobile volume problem. It gets resolved after installing "Unclog your speaker" app. It makes a big sound and it cleans the input jack for any dust or water.

mine lgv40 when calling using internet such as whatsapp call, telegram call discords any calls over internet.. my phone audio become weirdly distorted as if my connection has problems but my connections is fine..this happens when im in call over internet + plugged in earphone/headphone.. thought the audio jack was problem but when im not in call, audio is fine.. its annoying when playing games with my friends using discord and audio became weirdly distorted and broken... please anyone have solutions?

It is a little late for me to get in depth with a reply right now. But let me know what version of the operating system you are using and what steps you have taken so far to try and resolve the problem. Can you use the headset and it works okay? I will catch up with you tomorrow at some point.

I've seen all you videos about no sound and thank you for that but my Nokia 8 with 8.1 and latest security patch have dead earpiece (I think) with headset and speaker all works fine but no earpiece. Really want this shit to work
Hi Tomas, and thanks for watching. Okay some questions if you don't mind. You say that the headset and earphones work okay? Is there an icon on the top notification area to show that a headset is plugged in? If so does it say there when you take the jack plug out? Have you tried the audio router app? This will force audio to the specified device or port. Try this and report back for more options. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Now when you mention it, no there's no icon when I pop in a handsfree, will give audio router one more try. In audio router I tryed "phone call - earpiece is selected" and tryed to select "always on" but nothing 😥 Use wired or BT headset everything working fine Got some messages from Nokia forum and the June security patch will not fix this for me.
Try selecting loud speaker and see if that helps? You should really consider returning the phone though if you are having this problem. Does it still not work after a factory reset?
I have a problem. I was in a discord call and later I left. When i tried watching RU-vid the volume was low even if i put it on max volume. In the volume adjusting thing it had 'in call volume' which made me confused since I left the call.

I recently purchased a Motorola moto E5 plus and when I initiate a whatsapp call, the other party hears either 2 or 3 voices speaking together, or something similar to a busted speaker. This only happens with the whatsapp call. No problems with other cell phones, my wife has a lg stylo 4 and its great however the problem only occurs with the moto E5 plus. I returned it and got another new moto e5 plus phone again and its the same situation only with the whatsapp call. Any advice out there? Thx u so much.

Good informative video. I gave you a Like . I have an AT&T Note 3 . I can hear the person on the other end but they can't hear me . I made a short video and played it back and it has sound but when I make a call , the person on the other end cane hear me .
