I have the same laptop with no display. Used a torch lighter and gently heated up the chip and surrounding circuit board. Turned it on and boom! It works! Thanks!
He just cleaned and reheated the VGA chip. Its a temporary solution, but it can work. I would try checking the monitor cables first, cause they can go lose. Then the rehating of the VGA chip because its a harsher thing to do to the pc.
He used a heat gun to re-solder the board connections on the circuit board. I did it with a hair blower set to low. I took out the CPU and blocked out the rest of the board from the hot air. You also need to clean off the thermal compound and re-apply new compound. Also blow out the dust in the metal fins that sit near the fan. It won't last forever because this area gets hot but it will work for awhile.
I also have same problem with this one on vga port it work without problem but on lcd panell nothing i even tried to replace whole display cable and still nothing do i need to reflow it to lcd start work or its something other bcus laptop is working perfect on secondary monitor attached to vga port? thanks
No sure this OP was speaking in English. Had to rely solely on the visual. But the camera movement was making me dizzy. It seems that he cleaned out the graphic chip and made his computer work again. I am not sure.

firstly open and now pasted the vga ic then resold the ic but save the other component to hot air adjust the air and heat low level so problem is solve
firstly u check without open to connect laptop to use the external vga cable to monitor if no display to check the port and then u resold or head with paste the vga ic i think its working 100%
Bro i have the same laptop 8460p.. I use this laptop through display port on my led everything works fine but suddenly I've got the display issue i tried cleaning the processor and vga ic and add new thermal paste, then it works fine but again got a problem.. What actually happens is when I start it, it works fine but after 30 seconds i got display issue.. Can u tell me is it processor issue or vga ic ?
Bro actually the gpu ic mean graphics ic have balls and this problem is solved to reheat and readjust the ic but some case problem is still and fixed temporarily if not fix several time the process so my opinion is to change the board or laptop because if u fix this problem with high heat so maybe the board lose the contact to ic and other components
@@benbis1156 aha... By heating the chip the board itself heated also. Materials changing shape under heat. When it will cool down tension of the material will breaj the soldering again with the time...

you also check the ram or check the heat sink properly attached the vga ic but if the vga ic is damage so this is the last solution to fixed the problem
