I had the same problem but got it fixed ^^ it's because your usb drive is using the GPT partition system ! Pioneer stereo are not compatible with GPT. You must put it back to MBR partition system. to do so : On windows : - Backup the usb drive's files ^^ - Open a command prompt (CMD) and type the following commands with your usb drive plugged on : : diskpart : list disk CMD will display a list of all of your drives with a number (Disk0 , Disk1 ... etc ) find which one is your usb drive in the list. Lets example it is "disk1" here : : select disk 1 : clean : convert MBR : exit : exit Your Drive is now with the correct partition system MBR and is at RAW format. You must format it to fat32. Close the command prompt and format your drive to fat32 with windows files explorer or disk manager. => Fixed ;)
@@klaionholnessja7503 He didn't wreck your flash drive. Nothing he suggested will harm any flash drive. He gave you the right information. He just didn't give you ENOUGH. I'm willing to bet you weren't able to re-format your flash drive to FAT32, correct? If this is the case, try the following: DISKPART> list disk DISKPART> select disk (id) DISKPART> online disk (if the disk is not online) DISKPART> attributes disk clear readonly DISKPART> clean DISKPART> convert mbr (or gpt) DISKPART> create partition primary DISKPART> select part 1 DISKPART> active (if this is the boot partition) DISKPART> format fs=fat32 It will take awhile but, SHOULD work. Next time, try a little research before you run off.
I formatted it like 10 times and it shows FAT32 in proprieties everytime but I still get the same error :( I have a pioneer stereo...Is there another fix?

I was also getting the USB 23 error, but after switching to a smaller USB drive (32GB to 2GB), it worked. Fyi I called their help desk and they said my 32GB drive was too big for the process. The 2GB did the trick, and they said any size 16GB or smaller would work.
There is no straight solution to USB Error code 12. But what you can do is to try checking for the CD ejection/insertion area. The CD slot is the only culprit for this error which is causing other peripherals not to work. Adding to it you can try clicking the reset button on the stereo too. Good luck!!

it does not work at all I have formatted the usb. but the error did not disappear but on the pc it works perfectly. and smart TV without problems but to the car player, error 23 I bought another one and that one went to the player so if it does not work white new usb flash
how dumb everybody is? That's a first thing you look for - NTFS is only for windows NOT for any other device or system! Second thing, it doesn't fix anything. FAT32 is my format on usb drive and it still doesn't work!
@@Techulk well at some point in your life you are going to admit that people are dumb, that's a general rule these days. Nothing wrong with my USB stick. Still readable in 3 computers, win, mac, linux.
it isn't working. I have checked to see if the usb has any errors and none was found as well as formated the flash to ensure it was in fat32 but still the error keep on coming up in my pioneer car stereo.
Clean the lens of the stereo and then try to play it again. If you are not suitable with opening up the entire system. The Better option will be going for a CD cleaner which can be found in some cd stores (it is basically a CD with a brush on the surface, and it cleans the lens when it is played in the system. Also it use to check the speakers 🔊 too by playing different sounds, just FYI). 😁
