How to fix the "Weak security: WPA/TKIP is not considered secured" Wi-Fi related warning on iPhone with iOS 14 or iPad with iPadOS 14 respectively. #weaksecurity #ios14
1. Authendication method (a.k.a. Security Mode) = "WPA2" or "WPA3/WPA2" (Do not select "WPA/WPA2"!) 2. Encryption (on some routers "Cipher") = "AES" ("Auto", "AES+TKIP", "TKIP" are the wrong choice!) 3. If you don't know how to reach your router settings and ask "How can I find that website", please Google "how to log into Asus router settings" or "how to log into Netgear router settings" depending on your router make and model. 4. A router often has more than one Wi-Fi network. For instance, 2.4 GHz hotspot and 5 GHz one. Some of you may have a guest hotspot running alongside. You should switch to ALL YOUR Wi-Fi NETWORKs to "WPA3/WPA2" or "WPA2". 5. If the steps don't help, forget the Wi-Fi network and re-connect to it again by typing your network security key.
if I could like this one million times I would... thank you thank you thank you! It was concerning me, and as always I waited on hold FOREVER, and received no help from my internet provider! you're awesome!
Checked my router properties in my laptop and it says security is WPA2 but my iPhone still has that 'weak security' underneath the router name. I think it's a glitch for iphones running on IOS 14. But adjusted my router encryption to WPA2-AES! Now it's fixed! No more weak security warning! Thank you!
I have already done this on my router settings. It was previously on automatic settings, but now I have changed it to WAP2-AES, and I saved & rebooted it. But still I’m getting this “weak-security “ under my wifi settings. What am I supposed to do?
Help!!! I already changed my wifi settings. The weak security is no longer prompting. However I’m connected to the wifi but I have bo internet connection. It’s only on my iOS devices but google home and all have internet connection. Please help
On Virgin Media and I can only seem to change the version from WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK to WPA2-PSK, which has now removed the weak security, however, I cannot change or find the encryption/cipher to AES as there is no option or drop down box for it?
I’m using a talk talk sagecom router and when I log into my router settings I doing have wpa2 psk or aes encryption options, can anyone help?? Should I buy a third party router such as a TP Link for example or is there a way to configure this on the talk talk router?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
thank u very much for this video ^^I followed the steps that u said but it's already WPA2 & AES for me, but i can still see the 'weak security' on my iPhone ... so should i just leave it be...?
@@NoCallerIDTV I tried " forget this network" and then chose "Other..." to add my network again with the option: " Security: WPA 2/3" and it worked. thank u ^^
