Thanks. I have a Worx 14" electric with worn teeth on the plastic sprocket. Good to know there are 2 main sprockets. My sprocket has 5 metal teeth and 3.5" OD, so sounds like a Remington sprocket will fit. I find no info googling nor on Worx site. I've had a Portland 14" (Harbor Freight) sitting in the shed in parts for years since can't find a plastic sprocket for it, just others asking "where to buy one?". The Remington sprocket isn't compatible. Your saw looks similar to a Maxlander 18" one I have, with axial motor.
Thanks for sharing all this information, I'm sure it will help a lot of people. I also have a Remington, it's a very good electric saw, compact and light weight.
I went to a man’s house today to buy an edger. He gave me the Remington saw because it had this problem and he didn’t want to mess with it. Good to know how to repair it.
