I'm showing you how I fixed my glazed brake problem. Sanding your rotors is only a short term fix, but it will temporarily remove glazing. Meanwhile you can diagnose the underlying cause of why your rotors are glazing in the first place.
In my case, it was stuck caliper pins. Even though the pins were well lubricated and free of rust, they did not move freely back and forth. Consequently they would not retract (pull back) quickly enough after the brakes were applied; this caused the brake pads to barely skim the surface of the rotor. Dragging pads sometimes give the rotor a polished appearance over time, due to heat and friction.
Once the rust behind the dust boots was removed, glazing seized to be a problem. The pins started moving freely again and the pads stopped skimming the rotors. Problem solved.
