Fix Your John Deere Lawn Sweeper 

Thanks for the video. My problem was exactly as described with the worn out shoulder in the gear catch. I fixed it using your technique and a 1/8" drill bit that I ground to size to create my friction bearing. Thanks again! It was a 30 minute fix. This video saved me $500 and now I am back to sweeping up leaves and lawn clippings with little effort.

Worked great. I just used a nail and cut it to size with my dremel tool. Found one that was the right size and it is working like new. Thanks

I have the gears and the dowel pins ordered for my lawn sweeper. However, I decided to try your method of repair to see if will work until my parts come. Mrkentdotcom, the repair does indeed work for my Brinly also. Thanks for your video!
