Thanks for the video. My problem was exactly as described with the worn out shoulder in the gear catch. I fixed it using your technique and a 1/8" drill bit that I ground to size to create my friction bearing. Thanks again! It was a 30 minute fix. This video saved me $500 and now I am back to sweeping up leaves and lawn clippings with little effort.

I have the gears and the dowel pins ordered for my lawn sweeper. However, I decided to try your method of repair to see if will work until my parts come.
